Friendly and helpful staff, good food and stunning views from the terraces. Room was nicely furnished - generally the hotel is a bit shabby chic. Rooms are expensive but probably rates driven by the views, Access road is VERY steep Beach is pebble

I travelled here for a week with my son and friends and hired their one bedroom cottage. It was designed luxuriously and most important was child friendly. My son had an outdoor area to play on but what was a major bonus is the cottage was located adjacent to the hotel reception. so I was able to write down our...

We stayed at the Cary Arms for my wife's Birthday treat and everything about the place is wonderful. The room was lovely, view beautiful, food excellent and the whole package was terrific except for one thing which really annoyed me! The room we stayed in was clean, tidy and I would say perfect however, the outside space on our little...

Back home on a grey cool day we can still picture the view from the residents terrace - sipping drinks and enjoying the sunshine! A great weekend, super food and drink, pet -friendly, excellent staff! We will certainly return.

This was our third visit to the Cary Arms, and as always it was excellent. The staff are friendly with nothing being too much trouble, the chef is consistently brilliant, and attention to detail is second to none. Can't wait to book our next visit.

Location couldn't be better - amazing, beautiful views as Cary Arms is nestled between rock faces and is totally breathtaking. The hotel room we stayed in is tired and in need of modernisation (Commander)

We were very surprised on arrival how steep the road is to get to the hotel. I would only recommend that very mobile guests stay here as the road is treacherous! However, the view is stunning and probably worth a visit but make sure you have a very able driver with you. The rooms are nice, the food was good...

Surprising because we had visited the Cary Arms several times in the past, just to eat, and had always found the food very hit and miss. This week, staying for five days with our children we were happy to find the food was excellent. So good we cancelled the bookings we had made elsewhere. The food now matches the setting...

We stayed here last week as part of a small (6 people) team meeting. We took over the cottage for the stay and used the downstairs rooms to work in and the upstairs roooms for some of the party to stay in, with the others in rooms at the hotel. We held a similar meeting at the sister hotel (Old...

Yes, it's expensive but the location and service is worth it. You pay a premium for sea views at even the cheapest of hotels but the Cary Arms IS different. The setting is beautiful with uninterrupted views across the bay. It's slightly off the beaten track but popular so has atmosphere without being crowded. It's an old jumble of buildings...
