Relaxing bed and breakfast. Clean large room. Very warm welcome from the owner Richard. Continental breakfast, Limited choice but more than enough to fill you up as we don't like a full English breakfast. Loved the small kitchen idea to use if you wanted to bring a take away back. We didn't use but a great idea for family's. Also...

My wife and I stayed with our seven year old son for the last week of the school holidays. The B&B is nicely located so that you have about ten minute walk to Torquay harbour and not too far from Meadfoot beach (which we wouldn't have found without the help of Richard who runs the B&B) and Babbacome Bay. The...

We booked Rutland Lodge the night before we arrived for two nights. We were greeted by Richard, who was a wonderful host, helpful and welcoming without being intrusive, if you need anything he is there with the ring of a bell! We stayed in a superior double room which was spotless, and had a super comfy memory foam mattress. The...

We arrived early one Saturday and greeted by Richard who was more than accommodating. He pointed out parking spots and told us that we could leave our bags there until the room was ready. When shown to our room we were immediately blown away by the beautiful victorian interior. The bed was extremely comfy and the en-suite newly refurbished to...

I had worked all morning, then faced almost a 200 mile trip to Torquay. This was not just what we wanted or needed, it was 110% better than I expected. Please read the reviews - they are not wrong! Just a quick note to Richard, the brilliant owner, BUY A NEW TOASTER!! I will certainly recommend this B&B to family...

We enjoyed a very pleasant couple of days at Rutland Lodge. The sympathetically renovated property enjoys a good position, a relatively short walk (uphill) from the seafront and many restaurants. Richard, the proprietor was very pleasant and helpful.

We found this hotel on Hotels.com and we are very pleased with our stay. It is a very clean and well kept establishment and the proprietor is a lovely person. The rooms are clean and tidy. Our beds were very soft we just sank into them. There is off road parking and is just a short stroll down into the...

Me, my husband & our 9 month old daughter stayed for 4 nights and couldn't have been happier. Richard was lovely, very helpful & friendly, & he went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. The kitchen, conservatory & lounge were available to be used all the time - so handy with a baby as meals out can...

Stayed for 3 nights in a family room. Beautifully presented hotel in a lovely location and Richard is brilliant - very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. The breakfast in the grapevine-strewn conservatory was delightful! Away from the harbour, so nice and quiet. Can't wait to go back!

When we arrived at Rutland Lodge, we were greeted by friendly staff, shown the facilities (kitchen and breakfast area, lounge area) and shown to our room. The double superior room was lovely, clean and spacious, plenty of room for our 1 year old's travel cot. Breakfast was perfect for us, continental and ample choice. The location was great, 2 minutes...
