We booked a two night bed breakfast and dinner at the Cavendish.for their Valantine event. We have stayed before at this hotel and know it is not the poshish of them, but its a happy fun run place where I feel the staff are definitely there for the ustomers. No staff seems to leave and that to me is a...

I recently enjoyed a fabulous stay at your wonderful hotel. We did fan girl a little due to our love for your family from the tv show 'the hotel' which we loved! We thought we'd come for a romantic Christmas weekend, and the only issue we had was the slightly unbalanced Christmas tree who's baubles fell off and hit me...

Booked this online without reading reviews. A little disappointed as we apparently upgraded to a superior double. umm I had a standard double in Plymouth and gave it a 5 rating. Overall the staff were welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. I think management need to have a re-think of what they call superior as our accommodation was not...

Thanks very much for your review. The hotel you stayed at in Plymouth is a four-star hotel and their current rates are almost double ours, so I do feel it's a somewhat unfair comment! Our classification of rooms as standard, upgrade and deluxe is by comparison with other rooms in the hotel and with other hotels' rooms at a similar...

Myself and my two daughters had a lovely one night break here between Christmas and New Year. After reading some of the previous reviews I was slightly apprehensive, but I have to say that I could not fault this hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful, everything was immaculately clean, the beds were comfy and the food was lovely....

We have just returned from the cavendish for the third time this year. This visit as where the last two was very enjoyable and excellent value for money. Our room was great complete with seagull on the balcony who visited us everyday. Food was plentiful, tasty piping hot and very enjoyable. It was great to see all the staff again who...

Stayed here as a Single 70 year old Pensioner between Boxing Day and New Year 2015. Could not fault this Hotel in any way, from the excellent food which included 2 different types of Melon for breakfast to the superb room which was really warm and everything worked. Staff really did their best and the decorations were outstanding. Abnormally mild...

Stayed for one night to break up the journey and overall we were impressed. OK it's slightly tired looking but perfectly adequate and clean . Friendly staff and good facilities. Excellent location to town and harbour . If passing this way again will certainly book in as it's good value for money.

Having just spent the weekend at the Cavendish with my wife and mother I cannot recognise the last review. Yes some of the rooms still need updating but everytime we visit improvements have been made. Sixth stay. Staff are friendly and food is of a good standard. This guy must have been in a different hotel as I didn't see...

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms were unclean and disgusting. A man got burnt by boiling hot fat that was being carried through a room of children. The staff looked unhappy to be working there. My 66 year old mother was put into an upgraded room for an additional £25. For this she got unsafe carpet,...

I'm sorry but I find these comments rather bizarre and factually incorrect. Somebody had some hot water spilt on their jacket from a bain marie container in the restaurant, perhaps this rather mundane event has somehow been embellished? I am struggling to think of a reason why we would be carrying a container of boiling fat anywhere, let alone through...
