Had the most wonderful pre Xmas evening meal at the jack rabbit just before Xmas and again a work lunchtime meal last week. Both times, the food and service were excellent and the value amazing. A wonderful cosy winter venue, but from experience I know it is fab in summer 2!

Visited a couple of times with work colleagues for lunch and both times it's been pretty good. Food is good quality and they obviously put thought into the menu. Both meals have been good value for money. Suitable for groups, families and couples, nice atmosphere. Getting a drink can sometimes take a while, only minor thing. Deff be back again.

I've eaten at this pub 3 times in the last decade- last time being december 2016. Everytime it has been poor service and bad food.. I'm not sure if they use temporary chefs or just pay them low wages- therefore get poorly skilled chefs in. But either way, each time has been a bad experience. Avoid!- there are better places...

Had never considered the Jack Rabbit for Sunday lunch before as the The George up the road is a cavery. Not only was the service spot on but drinks arrived promptly followed by a real roast that was better than expected, in fact a lot better, as good as mum's was heard. Praise indeed. The kids roast, although not much...

We had a lovely night out last night to celebrate the impending end of term. All seven of us had a great meal, and excellent service from Steve. The ambience was good and the food extremely satisfactory.

Came here for the 3rd year in a row with the same friends for a Christmas meal. Whilst the setting and service was just as good, felt the portion was definitely smaller than in previous years, despite the price increasing. Most strange was the large amount of fresh/uncooked green 'decoration' placed on top of a roast turkey dinner. None of...

It's been a few years since I've been here (but not so long that I would support their description of this as a "vintage inn": I remember it being built about 15 years ago!!). I was interested to return. We'd been for a long walk and were ready for a nice lunch. We weren't disappointed. Excellent service, with an attentive...

Top Marks to Craig the Manager and to Victoria our waitress. We had a memorable evening meal at this delightful pub - but it could have been spolt owing to the long wait for our main course - Moroccan style lamb duo - only for our lovely waitress to come to tell us there was no lamb left. She was...

10/11/2016 Dreadful meal fish unedible and then served a par baked bap that wasn't baked also chips in a chipped and cracked dish full of germs ... assured the general manager would be in touch when back on site which never happened so clearly not as professional as Vintage Inns would like ... after 32 years in hospitality I offer...
