When we booked the accommodation (via booking.com), the headline B&B price for a double room was £90 per night, which is comparable with other hotels in the area. Only when we arrived did we discovered that this was the price for single occupancy, and that the rate for two people in a double room was in fact £120 per night....

Thank you for your "average" rating review, although it is such a shame you misunderstood the room pricing structure on the booking.com website and booked as a single person, paying a single rate instead of a double. We are a small family run hotel and have conducted extensive research and we know our pricing to be more than reasonable, which...

The owners, Kevin & Jan, are welcoming hosts. The rooms are light and airy, well-appointed with a fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities, tv with good satellite reception and adequate wardrobe and drawer space. The plain white walls are enlivened by Jan’s large colourful paintings. She is a talented artist and I suspect that she was responsible for the tasteful furnishing...

Where to start. Fantastic location, lovely large, light & airy, spotlessly clean room with mini fridge which we thought was a lovely touch😊 hosts Jan & Kevin were very welcoming & friendly & are obviously working very hard to achieve such good results in all that they do. The food in the Beggars Roost is nothing short of excellent. Very...

We stayed for two nights in room 1 which was a huge room with super king size bed. I was so pleased with the room - it had a fridge with water and milk, full size kettle and tea/sugar etc. The bed was huge and the bathroom amazing with roll top bath and huge shower. There were full size hand...

Recently stayed several nights at the Exmoor Manor Hotel - nice large room with high ceiling giving a good sense of space. Very peaceful as the hotel is set back from the road. The adjoining Beggars Roost Inn is a delightful place to have an excellent quality meal and local ale. Friendly hosts make you very welcome. The adjacent lane...

We recently spent a night at this lovely bed and breakfast and were delighted with the spacious and spotless room, the excellent bathroom facilities, the friendly hosts and the quiet location. Set alone along the highway, the manor and attached pub (which is in the ancient stone barn) offer a relaxing place to stay in close proximity to such attractions...

Excellent accommodation and food option when exploring Exmoor. Traditional country pub with lovely newly decorated rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food, LARGE portions. Happy to accommodate changes to menu offerings. Superb cooked breakfast. One of our party confused the staff with his request, which was quickly corrected with a massive pile of bacon! Plenty free parking right outside...

Visited with friends and stayed for three nights. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and I would stay there again without hesitation. Evening meals were enjoyed at the pub next door (Beggars Roost), tasty food, thank you Kev and Jan for your superb hospitality.

We decided to stay at the hotel following the glowing reviews on the site and were absolutely chuffed we did. From the moment we arrived Kevin & Jan couldn't do enough to ensure we had a glorious two night break. We had our mini schnauzer Colin along for the trip and he was greeted with just as much warmth as...

We stayed at the hotel For one night and had a meal at the beggars roost next door (which is all owned by the lovely Kev and Jan) The room was immaculate, we were lucky to have room one which had a free standing roll top bath and a walk in shower, I'm fussy by nature but honestly couldn't fault...
