Lower Thornton Farm provided us accomodation on a business visit to Devon. We had to re-arrange the visit and both the owner and Expedia were very helpful in doing this. The room was lovely, warm and clean with a tremendous view out over a ploughed valley. The bed was comfortable and the en suite useful, though watch the temperature of... More

Found it on LateRooms.com as we were heading to the south west for a week's holiday in Cornwall. Read the reviews and I can see why some are wary of the road in but my tip is not to follow the sat nav from Kenn so turn right just before the bridge and go straight on, don't take the next... More

Only booked this place on the day and fortunately they were able to accommodate us. Once you have negotiated the very tight, narrow lane to get there, you find this amazing farmhouse with the landlady, Alison, waiting to welcome you with a tea tray and biscuits in the guest lounge. She was an excellent host and cooked a superb breakfast.... More

Stayed here overnight arrived quite Kate so country track was a bit hairy in the dark but added to the adventure. Lovely owners welcomed us with a pot of tea and chocolate biscuits. We had the family room with the private bathroom across the hall, clean and comfy can't ask for much more. Breakfast was excellent with selection of fruit... More

At the end of a long lane from Kenn - just keep going. Very pleasant, nice breakfast, good room with all facilities, on a farm. Helpful people. We were able to park in front of room with no steps. Good nights sleep.

What an excellent B&B, Beautiful rooms with en-suite, nice comfy bed and excellent food, spotlessly clean. Alison was a great host. We have never stayed at a quieter B&B in all the time of visiting different areas of the country and we would certainly stay at this B&B again if we were visiting the area again. We stayed for one night at the end of September. Alison came to greet us as soon as we arrived and offered tea and coffee. Four poster bedroom really comfortable. Breakfast very good. It was so quiet and peaceful and we were made very welcome. Would go again.

Stayed at Lower Thornton Farm for three nights in a large and very comfortable room with a king size bed. Made to feel very welcome by Allison who also cooked a very nice breakfast. Very quiet location but conveniently situated for seeing around the Exeter and Dartmoor area. Highly recommended.

We booked fairly last minute yet were still given a lovely quiet, double ensuite room (room 2). Alison greeted us as soon as we parked and offered us tea/coffee on arrival and showed us around. We were made to feel very welcome. The room and ensuite were very generously sized with an outside patio and chairs with lovely views of... More

We enjoyed our stay. The guest lounge is homely and comfortable, a pleasant place to read or chat to other guests. There is also a large TV. Our bedroom had a beautiful view across the fields to the hills and was quiet. We spotted some deer one day. The cooked breakfast was generous and there was a buffet of fruit... More
