Our room and view was amazing. Very comfortable and updated. LOVED the claw-foot tub! The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was very delicious. Enjoyed breakfast in the dinning room each morning of our stay and had a very nice dinner in there as well one night. We enjoyed the surrounding countryside and village. All in all it was a lovely visit.

I come to tintagel every year with my family. At first when I visited this place years ago I couldn’t comprehend it and given some malicious reviews on here written by people who are sheep I was naive. However after coming here many times with my family I have to say without a doubt this place deserves more than 5 stars. It is the most unique establishment I have ever visited and by far the best in Cornwall. The coffee and honey cake here is 10/10. The views are astounding. The decor and overall vibe is absolutely breathtaking. The artwork is unique, colourful and remarkable and emits such positive energy, you have to see it in person in order to appreciate it, especially the large pieces in the front room. I was having coffee and cake here with my family on one of the days where it was raining heavily and it made our day. I haven’t spoke to the owners personally but judging by the vibe here in this very warm, welcoming place I have very good vibes from them and know that they are very genuine and lovely people. Everything here is well put together and one has to have an intelligent and open mind to be able to embrace it. Do not listen to any negative reviews, these are written by those who do not appreciate true beauty. This is by far the best place in Tintagel and a must visit even if you’re popping in just for a slice of honey cake and coffee, you must visit. We definitely will be back, and will be staying here too. It NEVER gets boring and the overall atmosphere here with the beautiful Aston Martin outside as well as the paintings, decor, photographs, furnishings, food is perfect. We hope to speak to the owners in future when we visit too as they seem to be very wonderful

We have just returned from an amazing few days away, staying in Camelot hotel. On arrival we were given a free upgrade in room to a beautiful sea view with a four poster bed. It really did have the wow factor. After walking in the grounds and admiring the artwork done by the owner we retired to the room what is there not to love about staying in a castle with a sea view. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. We loved every moment and at the end being shown to a basement art studio by the owner just made the whole experience perfect.

Had a lovely afternoon tea and coffee at Camelot Castle Hotel. The hotel had beautiful decor inside and the display of Easter decorations were really pretty in each room. There was a good selection of tea, coffee and food on the menu and all the staff were very friendly.

Hotel was excellent, with some lovely art on display. Had an excellent dinner in the restaurant, followed by a hearty English breakfast the following day, all excellent value for money. The location is spectacular, with amazing views of the North Cornish coastline, both from the room and the restaurant. Indeed being next to King Arthurs Castle, the atmosphere is almost mystical. Will definitely return for a follow up trip.

Our first time staying at the hotel and had such a relaxing stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming which makes a lot of difference. The hotel and our room were very clean with lovely views, perfect to come back after doing the coastal walks. If there was one thing I would ask for, would be more choices of food and to change the music. I would recommend staying here and we will definitely go back.

The hotel is an imposing clifftop Victorian Sylvanus Trevail designed building with great coastal views -the hotel experience sadly less impressive. Staff - were excellent, with the possible exception of the lack of welcome on arrival - simply told the room not available till 2pm. The bar was cosy with settees by the log burning stove. What a shame that with the prevailing cold and windy weather on the day that there was no fire in the larger lounge - without such warmth, it was a bit of a dark mausoleum. Room was OK with a soft bed but the shower "pod" was rather strange and very disappointing. Pictures showing this did not appear on the website and does not to my mind match the room description "bathroom with shower". Probably better to go for the deluxe rooms which apparently have a bath. Bedroom corridors were dark. We were there for our wedding anniversary and the hotel was aware of this but did not go out of its way to make our stay that bit more special or memorable. We ate dinner in the restaurant at tables with nice napery but the food did not match the surroundings. The expensive venison dish was sparse and the pork loin tough with little evidence of the spinach stuffing. The much anticipated treacle tart was a big disappointment - the pastry case was hard and burnt. No-one enquired as to whether we had enjoyed our meal. A final insult was the addition of a cover charge - not appropriate for hotel guests. Wine was expensive but the bottle we had was good. I am not encouraged to stay there again.
