Year after year, this place never fails to impress. Sunday Roasts here are to die for. We all had Roast beef which arrives with a giant Yorkshire pudding, big roast potatoes. You then receive dishes with a good variety of veg. Red cabbage, carrots, broccoli, parsnips... It was extremely toasty. I thought my own Sunday dinners were good made at...

The Victory Inn was reccomended to us by our B&B host to eat out. This is a small pub just off the water front that has kept its identity for atmosphere, good food/drink and good service. I enjoy an traditional pub experience with no distractions apart from the happy talk of our group and other satified customers. Do not go...

A good ploughmans and fish cakes for the Mrs. Nice atmosphere and the service was very good. Useful WiFi. Not another pub serving Doombar !! Good value specials. Several other pubs but this looked best.

Great roast pork melted in the mouth. Lovely fire in the fireplace. Good fast service. The staff were really attentive and the plates were big and full. We felt very satisfied after, good value for money.

Booked in for 3 nights for a New Year celebrations break . From the very start it was obvious this place lacks customer care when looking after their guests. On arrival we were taken to our room by a young girl who told us the wrong time for breakfast and left us with the wrong keys for the room meaning...

Very well kept beer at a reasonable price £3.50 per pint of Doombar. I am used to paying £4 per pint in Surrey. Service was good and the pub is very homely. I regret I did not stay there, only popped in for a couple beers. Many visitors were in but very chatty and a good atmosphere.

Wet and windy December St Mawes, but a super meal to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Excellent menu and can recommend the Grilledcplaice and leek risotto. The service was excellent and we will return in better weather!

We stayed a couple of nights at the Victory Inn. The room was good, the bathroom wonderful, and the breakfast not too early. A look at menus and prices in St Mawes suggested that the Victory Inn menu was interesting and comparatively cheap. This turned out to be right: the food was good. Above all, it had a good feel...

“We only visited the Victory Inn as part of a day trip. Interesting that they call themselves one of two pubs in St Mawes, but there are Tripadvisor hotel questions? I can't comment on accommodation. My service level rating relates to our lunch experience. I'd go back, and would recommend.”

“Worth booking a table if you want to eat and you're there at the weekend as there were plenty of locals and other visitors wanting to eat too.”
