I really enjoyed my stay at Gekko Lodge this summer. My daughter and I stayed in the smaller of the 2 rooms for a couple of nights and then moved to the larger attic room when my son joined us. The rooms are medium size but we didn't feel cramped and the available space has been utilised well. No large...

This is out second stay at Gekko Lodge the first several years ago with our eldest daughter but this time we took all of the children. We occupied both rooms which are well decorated, clean and spacious and the views of Porthmeor is beautiful. Catherine is a fantastic host and seems to have the special power of being around when...

Room was lovely, amazing view! Breakfast set us up for the day- didn't need any lunch, and one day didn't even need dinner! It was really lovely that there was a fridge in the room, they noticed that we were using it and put out champagne flutes for us. A really nice touch. Catherine gave really good tips about places...

We had a fantastic week when staying at Gekko Lodge. Catherine could not have been more helpful both in recommending things to do, and in providing superb accomodation. Our room was clean, well presented and had a fantastic view. We were made to feel very welcome and the breakfasts were excellent. If you want somewhere to stay in St Ives,...

We stayed here in 2010 and went again this year. We love the view of Porthmeor: you can see what the waves are like as soon as you get up. Hostess is excellent: fresh treats like melon or smoothies to supplement breakfast every day and introduced us to the other guests so we could chat if we wanted too. Lovely...

We had a lovely weekend at St Ives, staying at Gekko Lodge. We stayed in room 1 which has fabulous views, and was clean and comfortable. Catherine was helpful about where to go and what to see. We were cooked a tasty breakfast a little later than most guest houses, to our request.. much appreciated. The location is fine for...

We spent 3 nights in Room 1 at Gekko Lodge with our 4 year old. The stay was very comfortable and hostess very welcoming. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern with nice views. Room 1 does have a lovely view from your bed and has bigger windows, although when I was given the choice, I couldn't decide, as they were...

Gekko lodge is a perfect blend of homely and boutique. As it only has 2 bedrooms there is a real personal touch, with quirky art and photos on the wall and bespoke, hand-made furniture throughout the house, along with a much-appreciated parking space. Catherine also whips up a tasty breakfast with plenty of choice and is very welcoming without being...

Very hospitable, excellent hostess. Rooms are a bit more modestly sized than I imagined from the photos, but we were two adults and two young children - and it's difficult to find accommodation for a family like this in upmarket B&Bs in St Ives- so this was acceptable. Very comfortable bed, fantastic view, kettle supplied with coffee, tea, etc, digital...
