We didn't stay here but went for a meal and have to say it was delicious and very reasonable too. Lovely views from the dining room. It was just a shame that the weather was awful the day we went to St Ives. The staff were very accommodating as I'm Coeliac and require gluten free food, they had quite a...

We spent 3 nights at the Chy-An-Albany. First impressions driving into St Ives was beautiful, lovely, clean, extremely friendly place. We drove into the main car park but there were no spaces available so the very friendly reception staff directed us to the rear car park. Hotel it's self was very clean and quite pleasant, room was basic and fairly...

Dated hotel . Clean, comfortable room. Hot shower but thin, scratchy towels. Lumpy mattresses. Great buffet style breakfast . Dangerous road location due to three way traffic and no crossing. Try to book a seaview room. Wonderful views. Miserable manageress, non communicative bar staff, overall the staff were cold and distant except for Polly the wonderful receptionist. Breakfast staff not...

The hotel team and I all strive to make every guest welcome during their stay with us. We try to offer helpful advice and guidance around the hotel and assist guest in all departments. Your own experience at the hotel disappoints me and I can assure you that although the staff may appear to be gossiping at the reception it...

Good location overlooking the bay but a good walk into town, about 15 minutes, and a better walk going back up the hill after a few beers later on!! Room was ok but very small bathroom/shower - breakfast was good - buffet style, but the staff could have been more helpful letting people know where everything was.

I’m glad you enjoyed your breakfast and I am truly sorry that you had difficulty knowing where everything was. We try to advise all guests on their first morning to how our buffet and select menu work. Please be assured I will address your comment with the restaurant staff. I’m glad you appreciated our location and yes there is an...

This hotel has only one thing going for it and that is the location. The hotel is situated within walking distance of everything in St Ives meaning you can park up and abandon the car for your trip. The website for this hotel is not a true reflection of the reality. The rooms are dated and have a grimy feel...

I am truly disappointed that you suggest our rooms are ‘dated and have a grimy feel about them’ our housekeeping team are very dedicated to ensuring the rooms are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness. We are in the process of changing our mattresses at the present time replacing mattresses & some bases, although firmness of mattresses is always...

Stayed one night, 8th August. Room booked in April. Although clean, the room was very small, with a tiny bathroom you had trouble moving around in. Wash basin measured about 12" wide and 9" depth. The room overlooked an alley way. I asked if we could have a room with a sea view, I was told they were fully booked...

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Some of our standard rooms do have smaller ensuite shower rooms than our deluxe rooms, although all rooms vary in size. Our standard rooms are all located to the rear and side of the hotel with various views of gardens, boundary hedges and other parts of the hotel My reception...

The Chy-An-Albany sits in a great location high above St Ives, just a short stroll into the town and has car park facilities (a premium in St Ives). We stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding at the The Harbour Hotel just below the Chy-An-Albany and were very disappointed. We had a standard double room which was tired and...

Our website does not suggest we are ‘A Boutique establishment’ but we are ideally situated opposite the Harbour Hotel and many guests attending weddings there tend to stay with us due to the closeness and our competitive B&B rates. Our standard double rooms offer accommodation for two people with a double bed, wardrobe/hanging unit, bedside tables, chest of drawers/desk with...

I wasn't overly impressed by the hotel. I had emailed the week before requesting an early check in which had been acknowledged and confirmed. We arrived early, reminded them of the 12pm check in and then went for a walk along the beach. When we returned at 12, the room was still not ready. Not a major issue but we...

Nice hotel overlooking the Bay. Parking and wifi is free. Very nice restaurant with amazing views. It is a 10 minute walk down into the village. All in all a good experience and we would book the Chy-An-Albany again.

We purchased the groupon offer for lunch, this was the first time we had visited the hotel. I would never have thought of stopping by for food with it being a hotel but was pleasantly surprised. The staff where friendly and welcoming, I hadn't read the T&C's and wasn't aware that the offer didn't include weekends however there was no...
