We stayed at The Keep for one night and can say without hesitation we will be visiting again. Unique, charming, well appointment, spotlessly clean and situated in the centre of St Ives. We had a wonderful time and felt welcomed by the owners who genuinely cared about us enjoying our stay with them. The Keep is a hidden gem and...

The Keep is the perfect place for a romantic retreat by the gorgeous turquoise sea in St. Ives. We love it because it is a quiet, peaceful haven, very grown up and sophisticated with gorgeous decor and eclectic style. Perfect for couples who want to get away from it all. There are only two rooms in this lovely B&B so...

This was my first time at The Keep and I couldn't have asked for a better place. Because of its level location and top reviews, I actually changed my travel dates in order to stay there and will do whatever's necessary to stay there on future visits. I love the "tucked away" location and being so close to restaurants, shops...

Carol and Mike are the nicest hosts, they go out of your way and are so helpful. We went to Minack theatre one evening and they lent us some cushions and blankets! They cook gorgeous breakfast with an option of a 'special' each morning - try the french bread and berries yum! There are only two rooms and really close...

Laura, thank you so much for your lovely five star review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us, and I hope you'll come back to St Ives again. We have tried to aim The Keep at couples and single travellers, looking for a short break in a 16th Century building, and we have presented the B&B accordingly. We...

We were made very welcome by Carol and Mike, tea and biscuits on arrival. The Keep is in a superb location just off the Digey, so a 1 minute walk to Porthmeor beach, the harbour, the shops, and the galleries. All of St Ives many attractions are "on the doorstep", and we found this a big plus. Our room was...

We came down for a couple of nights to enjoy a very busy but beautiful St Ives. Carol and Mike make us feel so welcome, which is why we come down time and again. It's located approx 50 yards to Porthmeor Beach and probably the same to Fore Street. Tucked away so you are not disturbed by passing foot traffic....

This little b&b is fantastic, the owners Carol and Mike are lovely and so welcoming. They also do the best breakfasts. The bed and breakfast is well positioned for all the amenities in St Ives and very close to the beach. We hope to stay here again and would highly recommend.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
THE KEEP B&B occupies a unique, central position tucked away in the heart of coastal St Ives, only a few yards from Porthmeor Beach, The Tate, and the town itself. With no passing traffic at all, THE KEEP, a tasteful 16th Century Pilchard Press conversion, offers a rare sense of peace and quiet, although the amenities, restaurants and coastal walks are right on our doorstep. Our guests have a choice of just two individually designed bedrooms, each with spacious modern en suite drench showers, flat screen TVs, free high-speed WiFi, underfloor heating and King-size beds (one a romantic four poster). Enjoy a delicious locally-sourced breakfast in what used to be the central, now glass topped, courtyard, then step outside and explore. ... more   less
