We were there for an HF Family Walking Adventure and a great time was had by all--younger and older. Excellent food and service; wonderful leaders for all activities and walks. Rooms are on the small size but adequate. Guest parking also OK--a great asset in busy St Ives. A very convenient location for visiting the town.

We have just returned from a week staying at Chy Morvah, one of the HF Holiday houses. A nice house, well managed with excellent staff who really looked after the guests. The accommodation is on a full board basis, good choice for breakfast, packed lunch with a wide choice of items and dinner in the evening also with a god...

I returned to Cornwall after 3 years. the 1st 2 nights, I had a back ache plus spasms. Met interested people including overseas and recognized one of the leaders. One was more interested in flowers and wildlife (was a bit board and delayed lunch); There was a landscape painting holiday running as well. Some walks had 20 people to 1...

Visited yesterday for the Easter weekend. What a fantastic location in a peaceful area and only a 10 min walk to the town centre. Plenty of easy parking available. A very friendly welcome from reception. We were shown our room which was clean and basic. However if you would like a peaceful night don't stay in room 34!!! Poor noise...

I stayed at this location as part of an HF Holidays walking/hiking tour but you can book a room on your own also. Our plan included all meals which were fabulous!! Several choices for every meal including fresh fish every day and vegan choices. My only complaint is that our room was on the top floor and the water pressure...

We stayed at Chy Morvah for three nights and used it as a base to explore south-west Cornwall. The first thing to explain is that Chy Morvah is operated by HF Holidays and is therefore organised primarily for their walking groups, the participants of which are mainly retired ladies & gentlemen. It is therefore not really operating as a hotel...

I booked a 'country house break' at Chy Morvah. Its location was great: 10 minutes' climb from the town centre. Food and service were excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The vast majority of guests were on organised walking holidays and must have been exhausted: they retreated to their rooms around 10pm. Each evening included organised activities - these...
