Utterly blown away by this place. Relatively easy to find. The chap behind the bar recommended places for us to park. We parked at the train station car park which is a nice ten minute walk. We stopped for lunch, brilliant value for a fiver. Mussels and chips were delicious! Very friendly service. We had a spacious room on the...

We were booked to stay here for two nights as part of a relaxing week away from London. The room we were given was small and cramped. Walking around the bed you had to be careful not to knock your legs on the side. The shower is awkwardly positioned. Doors open out against the wall?? Poor design. Walls thin as...

Storm Barney raging but this seemed to enhance the beauty of St Ives which has a special light quality and lots of maritime interest. It is a refreshing change not to find any charity shops on the seafront as they are situated in other back streets. Their place on the front has been taken by a plethora of shops selling...

Stayed here for two nights in November, we parked at the train station and walked to the hotel which is only around ten minutes, we were able to check in an hour early which was good. The room we had was on the top floor but we got help from the staff carrying one of our cases. The room, though...

Colin the owner was fab and happy to talk to you and have a laugh, Breakfast fab and so near to the harbour and shops. Lovely hotel...

Relaxed and informal, great comfort food, you will leave with a full belly and maybe a few new friends. Made our dog Maisie feel part of the place and gave her some treats to boot, friendly staff, great wine choice not too shabby and of course rattler on tap. We will return

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights during half term week. We were able to check in before 3pm as our rooms were ready which was great. Rooms had everything we needed and were comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. On arrival we ordered some drinks and a cup of tea. Unfortunately we were told there was a problem with their...

Very good rooms at this hotel though not suitable for those who have difficulty with stairs. Rooms up 2 or 3 flights of stairs. Bar very good. Meals good value and well cooked. Car parking a headache but good car park at Leisure Centre with Bus (£1.00) back to town centre.

Wonderful pub full of character that accepts dog lovers, children etc. The decor is Wonderfull with tables to eat and comfy chairs to sit in. An amazing range of ales and food is served within this establishment and is Reasonably priced. There's also a range of hot beverages for the non alcohol drinkers. Well worth a visit. Enjoy.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Queen's Hotel is a late-Georgian, three-story building in the heart of picturesque St Ives. 5 mins from the harbour and beaches, we have ten en-suite bedrooms, which have been redecorated with vintage furniture and Cornish artwork hanging on the freshly painted white walls, plus sparkling new bathrooms with new showers. Downstairs is a relaxed and friendly bar with delicious pub food that was awarded an AA rosette in 2011. Everything is prepared on the premises - the menu is chalked up on the board daily using the finest local, seasonal ingredients Cornwall has to offer. Bread baked daily. Homemade ice-cream. Local beers. Warming fire. Children are very welcome: upstairs a camp bed and a travel cot are available to borrow, all windows have black-out blinds; downstairs there are boardgames + toys in the light and airy bar, baby-changing, and children's portions available. The harbour front and Fore Street are under five minutes walk away. Selected by Alastair Sawdays. ... more   less
