Hotel is in a great location overlooking the beach and handy for the town and station. It was very busy over the Easter weekend but the restaurant staff were always smiling and helpful. Lovely fresh hot food served quickly and a good choice on menu. Lovely buffet breakfast with fresh tomatoes (not canned) tasty bacon, fried eggs etc and fresh...

Have travelled with Shearings many times. We had been to this hotel quite some time ago(On a weeekend break) We were pleasantly surprised, it had been redecorated and a lot of refurbishment had been done. We love St ives (Even if it is quite busy in the Spring and Summer!) Staff were very helpful food was good. Went by coach...

This was the second trip with Shearings for hubby and me to this hotel. The public areas had been refurbished since our previous visit and were smart, clean and comfortable. My only criticism would be the shortage of power points to use a laptop or tablet in the lounge area. We had upgraded to a superior room on the first...

Had a 3 day half board stay. Nice 3 course meal, at first portions appear small however the 3 courses were sufficient to fill you up. Liked having set table so you knew where to sit for each meal. Breakfast was a traditional english buffet style, absolutely lovely, not at all greasy or sitting in oil 👍. Only criticism is...

The powers that be in the post office have allocated as inappropriate postal code because the Powers That Be did not bother to check whereabouts the hotel was in the chosen road, The Terrace. To cut a long story short, the Bay hotel is on your left before the GPS tells you that you have reached your destination. This is...

Hotel didn't look much from the outside, pretty awful in fact, but a different story inside. The staff were pleasant, decor pleasing food good and the rooms adequate. The views were amazing. All in all a lovely visit.

Just returned from the Sheerings weekend trip to the St Ives Bay hotel. Lovely room,we paid extra for the sea view which was well worth it? Floor boards are a bit creaky as you move around, and was concerned about the noise for the guests below. Public rooms are to a good standard. Food was good but had a slight...

Paid good money for a shoebox with uneven floor at the back of the hotel. Asked about an upgrade but was told the hotel was full, only to find some people who arrived after us were upgraded no problem. After an evening out we went to collect our key from reception but found we had been deleted from the system....the...
