Booked this as a bit of a treat for my wife and I; so £150 for a double room with sea view; which is their going rate. We got the double room with the seaview; which was nice; but then it went down hill. Every single flat wooden surface in the room was sticky; coins; key and phones were instantly...

Unfortunately this IS NOT a good review. My travel partner and I (2 women) booked this hotel through a well-known internet Hotel Booking site. After reviewing several Port Isaac sites, this one seemed to have ticked all our boxes @130 pounds a night with a deposit of 30 pounds, which is also a quality city hotel price. A little pricey,...

Setting for the Doc Martin series Port Isaac is a sleepy coastal fishing village, or should I say was. Not a large amount of fishing these days. The Slipway Hotel is bang in the middle of town right opposite the slipway - surprisingly. Around 600 years old the rooms are small, tight, restaurant similar. An if a little large beware...

Booked this on line, and asked for a sea view. On arrival we were shown to room 5, up on the second floor a large double with a shower room ensuite, and a perfect view of the harbour. They have a nice bar on the ground floor with friendly staff, a shout out to Lisa! We didn't use the restaurant...

My boyfriend and I stayed here in August 2015 and we only stayed 1 night as we were travelling around the area. It's a small little hotel and as it's such an old building you can expect a few quirks. Yes the room was small, but it was clean, the bathroom was clean and towels were fluffy and again very...

We booked through booking.com and you don't get as much information on parking/location as on the website itself. We had a slight mismatch of expectations but once we got over that all was great. Even though it's stated on their website, a courtesy email to set out exactly where you need to park, and that you'll need cash or the...

The slipway is a friendly, authentic hotel right in the heart of Port Isaac. Looking out onto the port and the fishery, surrounded by all the 'Doc Martin' landmarks it's perfect for exploring the little village. The food is excellent, especially he breakfasts, traditional Cornish with local ingredients or delicious smoked kippers. Bathroom was tiny and room a little small,...

The location is great, with the harbour a few seconds walk away. The room was a little small, especially the bed, but then again OH is over 6ft. The breakfast was good and also the evening meal in the restaurant and staff were pleasant and helpful. As others have said, there is no parking so you either have to walk...

The rooms are OK, the restaurant also. The breakfast fine. And the service also fine. But if it was not for Doc Martin the rooms would be at least 50% lower in price. You stay there for Doc Martin and the scenery and the proximity to the harbour. But if you cannot drive very narrow streets, with barely room for...
