The room looked as if designed for a 5 year old, the bed was saggy but the bathroom was new and modern, had a nice hot shower, plumbing worked great. Host was very nice, the breakfast was quite good. One common living room to share, no outdoor space to hang out in. Suited for vacationers with day plans. Walkable to... More

A really great find. Rooms lovely albeit a bit small. Service and eagerness to help was second to none. Breakfast was definitely the nicest cooked breakfast I have ever had. Lovely touches like a pre-dinner drink on the house if you want to attend at 6.30. Brilliant location , the Newlan side of Penzance , which is by far the... More

Jonathan, proprietor of The SUMMER HOUSE, gives a copy book example of how a well run `guest house` can be just that. `GUEST` is not just a word for Jonathan, its a concept. It goes beyond a quick `meet & greet`. We were treated like friends staying for the weekend, Nothing was too much trouble. The house itself is light,... More

Would recommend a stay here.this guest house positioned just off the promenade! Local restaurants serve wonderful food .

Summer house can be found just off the main coast road and is surprisingly quiet. Jonathan and his crew are wonderful, full of local knowledge and make you feel at home immediately. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable with all the extras you come to expect- tea and coffee making facilities, bottled water, bathroom accessories... More

Spent a lovely weekend in The Summerhouse, Penzance. A stunning B&B superbly run by Jonathon and his small team. Rooms are a divine and calm seaside theme. Very tranquil and extremely comfortable with high quality finish but with reasonable price. House has a homely feel with fab private collection of art work and antiques. Breakfast is to die for. We received a very warm and friendly welcome from Jonathan on arrival. Our room was light and bright and with a shower only so you didn't have to climb into a bath to have a shower. The house is lovely with a nice garden to sit in and also a very comfortable and spacious lounge inside. Breakfast was terrific with... More

We have recently returned from a lovely two night stay at this hotel. The hotel was perfectly located for us - lovely and quiet. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, the staff very friendly, the breakfast was fantastic, bed very comfy and the shower was super - only 1 VERY MINOR point - the shower could do with a rack... We stayed in June 2015 and found Jonathan to be the perfect Host. The Summerhouse is tastefully furnished and decorated, extremely clean and comfortable, very classy. The breakfasts were delicious and filling with a variety of choice, could not ask for more. We loved all the little extras in the room and being able to make a tea or coffee... More

The summer house is an amazing house, very nice furnished and decorated as well as a stunning garden. The owners put a lot of love in it and you can feel that, when you stay there. There is a very nice breakfast with fresh fruit every day and (among other warm options) a very good scrambled egg. On departing day... More
