I stayed here for three nights with my boyfriend. Louise was a very friendly and welcoming host - whether sorting out details like parking permits, or serving the (delicious, varied and generously sized) breakfasts. There are all sorts of thoughtful touches around the place, like the ability to use their dining room and crockery for takeaway meals, or having an...

Stayed 3 nights in early Oct, the weather was great (surf was going off/offshore and clean, overhead on the sets) and so was St. Bernards. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable and they did a great breakfast. There is a great sitting room downstairs with comfy leather chairs, nice coffee, an 'honesty...

Would definitely recommend to anyone with a dog or without, our room was very classy and very clean. The whole guesthouse is spotless, no dog smell or evidence of dogs even though its pet friendly. Breakfast was fantastic, absolutely anything you would like. DVDS, game consoles, honesty bar, list of pet friendly pubs etc, short walk to everything Newquay has...

St Bernard's couldn't have been a lovelier place to stay. Louise was a superb hostess, food for breakfast 1st class, comfortable beds. Wonderful having the courtesy bar and coffee available in the pleasant downstairs lounge area. Only problem was having booked with Expedia and needing to cancel one of the nights, I couldn't email Expedia to change (despite the many...

It was a fantastic experience. Extremely friendly hosts. Breakfast was outstanding and so was the service. Will highly recommend the place for anyone travelling to Newquay. Probably any time of the year. We went in August though :-)

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Louise is one of the loveliest b&b owners we have ever met! Nothing was too much for her. She helped us to buy some tickets for the rugby match in bristol and gave us advices were we can go to eat or what to do in Newquay. She...

What a great place, what great hosts, so as many other reviewers have said that already I will write from a slightly different angle. Breakfast, what a choice. Fruit juice and half a grapefruit. Loads of cereals and porridge. The obligatory Full English, then any combination of it either as a sandwich or on toast. Scrambled eggs and salmon too....

I have stayed here several times over the years as a single traveller and it gets better every time as Louise and John develop new ideas for the benefit of their guests. They are a lovely, welcoming family and they provide much more than a typical guest house. Where else can you have breakfast in bed if you choose or...
