Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have just left this very pretty cottage after a wonderful stay. Situated in a very quiet & tranquil valley with beautiful views. The cottage was very well equipped and really comfortable. Run by a lovely family where nothing was too much trouble. . We can thoroughly recommend a stay here.

A last minute break - we struck lucky with Ollie and the Caravan at Henda paul Cottages. As people say the actual place is lovely, peaceful, spacious, swings and slide and friendly horses. Caravan was very cosy with a touch of luxury! Walks are through country lanes, beaches are 5-10 mins drive away, nearest Porth, bracing Watergate bay, friendly Mawgon Porth and the breathtaking Bedruthan Steps. Newquay had some lovely, safe, maintained beaches - Tolcarne and Lusty Cove smashin. Good fresh fish, healthy food etc is hard to find - plenty of supermarkets but a trip to Padstow or Truro needed for the best. Hendra Paul is a really lovely place to stay if you dont mind driving to beaches. Hire a beach hut for the week and you can store all your stuff!!
We would def go back and stay again

After googling 'cottages near Newquay airport' we found and booked Wildflower Cottage as part of Hendra Paul Cottages. We stayed for four nights and had an absolutely lovely time and will definetly return. The cottage was warm, homely, extremely comfortable, spacious, quiet etc etc and the welcome was warm and friendly. Quite the best cottage we have ever stayed in and over the years have stayed in quite a variety. We flew from Manchester to Newquay (cheap and easy) then hired a car with Hertz (cheap and easy) and had fun going to Padstow, hiring bikes on camel trail, walking on coastal paths viewing stunning scenery and relaxing on a nearbu beach. Returned home feeling refreshed and relaxed. Fantastic!

Although there was much to recommend about Wildflower Cottage, which we hired, I was taken aback by being charged for electricity. We stayed in a large number of rentals while on an extended holiday this year and I have never come across this before.

I was also very surprised to find that we were expected to checkout by 9.30 am, another first, even though the website said checkout was 10 am which is quite usual. The reason for the early checkout was given as being because of the length of time it took to clean the cottage, this cottage had one living room and one bedroom with en-suite.
To cap it all, after being asked to checkout early, to give them time to clean, they then had the gall to leave notes asking us to take off the covers from the quilt and pillows! I am sorry, but that is just taking the rise. Early checkout to do part of the of the cleaning work. Perhaps next year visitors will be asked to do the cleaning service as well.

I am sad to write this because in other ways this was a lovely place to stay, it just took all the shine off it.

We stayed at wild flower cottage, while it was lovely and peaceful and scenery was beautiful ... We would have like a pub within walking distant, just to chill out and have a nice walk back, also it would be nice if there was a nice welcome box of perhaps coffee, tea, milk bread especially if arriving late evening ... Even in cheap hotels you get some essentials to welcome you ! Even if they charged you to supply one !! We only saw the owner once ( to collect payment) .. No check ups to see if we had enjoyed our stay .. Just a note shoved on the door to say leave the key in a designated place !

My husband and I spent a lovely, restful week in Spider's Web cottage. Very, very quiet and just what the doctor ordered! The cottages are near to many delightful attractions, but far enough removed, that you can cut out the world. The cottage was lovely and we would certainly love to come and stay again.

Stayed in the Barn Owl Cottage, would def stay here again! Ordered a Tesco delivery, so it took all the hassle out of having to do a food trip. Great BBQ area at the back of the cottage, lovely sitting room and plenty of space for everyone

Julia and William are both very welcome and made my girlfriend and myself feel very welcome. Hendra Paul has a real homely feel to it. We stayed in the Spiders Web Cottage which was totally mind blowing when the door was opened!

An amazing peaceful place to relax, I cannot say enough good things about this amazing place!. A must see.

We booked a week at this cottage from Friday to Friday.
Originally we had rented a one bedroom property, but were contacted a few days in advance telling us that there was a problem with the shower and we would be moved to a four bedroom cottage.
We arrived on the Friday and were stunned!!
A beautiful stone built cottage awaited us. The ground floor had two bedrooms,(double and single), two bathrooms one with shower, the other a bath. The dining area had a massive old wooden table with both bench and chairs around.
A fully fitted kitchen comprising a huge fridge freezer along with ice making facility. A Microwave, a five ring gas hob cooker, a washing machine with separate drier, kettle and Toaster, as well as a dishwasher. The kitchen was fully equipped with all that you would need to live as you would at home. We only took our coffee machine and Pods!!

Upstairs was two further bedrooms (double and single) and a very large lounge area with a super TV and two massive comfortable settees that were a dream to relax on.

We could not believe the quality of this cottage and were very happy with our stay.

One of the wettest weeks Cornwall has had did not prevent us from enjoying ourselves in what was a lovely and relaxing week, made more enjoyable by the cottage. This is a family run business and we were fortunate enough to meet one of the family the day we departed who gave us a brief rundown of the farm. It is no longer a functioning farm, but you can still walk around the pastures.

I would thoroughly recommend this place for a very relaxing break which is close to Newquay and Porth.

Will be returning.
Thank you.
