Really enjoyed our cream tea, a good choice of sandwich fillings and baked scones. The hotel looked liked it had had a recent makeover but we dont think this had reached the swimming pool. poor changing rooms, and very poor toilets.

Newquay is very run down in the centre...disappointing but we just used it as a base to explore the Eden Project which was the only reason for going to Cornwall.
We spent the guts of £800 including flights from Scotland to Newquay for a 2 night B&B stay at the Pentire.
For much less we could have had half board at the really good Ambrosia Hotel in Bitez in Turkey including flights for a weeks stay for less than £500 for the 2 of us with guaranteed weather.
