Food was gorgeous, location really convenient and Kim and Steve were so friendly and welcoming, it really was home from home. My nearly-four-year-old was also made to feel really welcome and I didn't feel on edge all the time like you can do when you have a toddler with you!! Thank you!

Stayed at Mawgan's for my wife's birthday. Had a couple of special requests prior to the visit and Kim couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The drive through Looe streets to check in is interesting but once you get there the welcome is great, rooms clean and nice - hotel is small and personal. Pre book seafood before you...

Inn keepers are very friendly and go out of their way to make stay enjoyable. As in other villages, you must park in the car park and walk your luggage to the Inn. Love is a small fishing town with galleries, museums, and great pubs (Salutation).

We stayed at Mawgan's over the Easter weekend and really cannot fault it. Steve and Kim are wonderful, friendly hosts. We stayed in Bluebell and our room was absolutely spotless and very well presented. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night and have to say Steve is an incredible chef and his breakfasts are fabulous too!

Second stay at Mawgan's and was just as lovely as before. Kim & Steve are wondeful hosts, both 'locals' so they can help with local knowledge places to go etc. We stayed in Foxglove room again which is tastefully furnished in Victorian style which is continued with wonderful roll top bath in en-suite, just right for a relaxing soak after...

We have just returned from a two night stay which was a surprise birthday present from my better half. Upon arriving we were made to feel totally relaxed and welcome by Kim and Steve. Our room was spotless and the food, both for dinner and breakfast was first class. I even had a birthday card waiting for me when we...

“Only two rooms at Mawgan's: Foxglove is on front with view of Looe beach Bluebell is at rear (We haven't stayed in this room but looks lovely also)”

“Only two rooms, the one at the back being the quietest.”

“We had the bluebell room, but we glimpsed the other room and both are delightful. We were on the back of the house and perhaps for that a little quieter? There is double glazing at the front though so don't imagine it would be noisy anyway.”
Melandmuffy, 27 Aug 2013 | Read review
“The room at the front is bigger than the back room. Only downside is the nearby club which can be noisy after closing time on a Friday/Saturday night. That said, it didn't really bother us! The room at the back is quieter.”
