We visited this hotel for a few days relaxation, we couldn't get a room at the front of the hotel as fully booked , these are more expensive but have lovely sea view, ours was at the back with a view of the fire escape !! The room was very clean , nicely decorated if a bit dated , but...

We spent four nights here ,our room was large and very comfortable,it didn't have a view but we knew this beforehand. The staff are extremely welcoming and professional. The hotel as a two rosette restaurant and the food was delicious,at times the service was slow and I think this should be addressed. The breakfast was good but if you wanted anything other than...

This was our second stay at this very good hotel. We had a sea view room on our last visit, which was excellent in all respects. No sea view room available this time. Our 'inland' room, although very good, but was subject to excessive external noise from the kitchen etc. Food and facilities are excellent and the staff very friendly and...

We stayed here for 2 nights because friends of ours were getting married at Pendennis castle. The hotel is in a beautiful location looking over the sea with all the ships waiting for repair at the docks. We had breakfast on the terrace on both days and nothing was too much trouble. Sadly we didn't get to use any of...

Just came back from a three night stay and overall I can't fault The Royal Duchy, the staff in the bar and the restaurant are very attentive and the food exceptionally good. Our room was clean, well decorated and the bed comfortable although given it's still late summer the duvet is (in my opinion) too thick. However there is one...

Thank you for your review of the hotel. We are pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay with us. I am sorry that you only had one tube of shower gel - we always replenish items when required. This summer I walked the entire South West Coast Path to raise money for FORCE and Over and Above, two South West charities that support cancer patients and their families. The Royal Duchy Hotel very kindly agreed to be my Accommodation Partner and Gold Sponsor in Falmouth. The Royal Duchy was one of the best hotels I stayed at throughout...

Took 2 elderly ladies who are neighbours for lunch. Couldn't sit in 100+ seat dining room because a party of 15 business people were using it. Had to sit in porch area at small table and unsuitable chairs. Two of us ordered beef sirloin but it was served as a thick chunk on a tiny bed of finely shredded cabbage,...

Stayed here recently, room 111. Superior inland facing room, good size, double King, comfortable, tea coffee facilities, no mini bar, wifi slow. shower lacking power. Hotel location great, sea facing, quiet, best side of Falmouth. Good pool, sauna and spa. Staff friendly. Charged summer rates because they could, even though hotel was less than half full. For families or longer stays...

My single room was unfortunately very hot and very noisy, which made it hard to sleep at night, as I had to keep my window open due to the heat, but the noise from a generator just outside my window meant I had to wear ear plugs. Other than that, the hotel was very nicely furnished, the pool and sauna...

Due to family reasons it is some months since our last visit. Great to see the redecoration, which you had started the last time we visited is complete and has enhanced our experience yet further. Staff are still as courteous as ever with James, as usual being the star!
