We spent two nights at bosvathick house, it was so peaceful we slept like babies! Lovely large bedroom with a very comfortable bed, tea making facilities, great shower. The breakfast is served in a wonderful room full of antiques and historical artefacts. Kate was so helpful, she provided us with maps and allowed us to wander at our leisure through...

Just driving through the gates and up to the stately house through beautiful gardens, feels a bit like a du Maurier experience. Kate is a wonderful hostess and we were grateful for an opportunity to stay in such comfortable surroundings. Our room, with a king size bed, was enormous, with a bathroom opposite the passage, which wasn't used by anyone...

We've now stayed a few times at Bosvathick House and it's quite different from any other bed and breakfast. For a start this is a real country house, almost but not quite a stately home. All the services are provided by Kate Tyrrell who's family have owned the house and neighbouring estate for over 300 years. Kate genuinely enjoys having...

What a lovely place. The house going back to 1760 is a wonderful example of its era. Beautifully laid out, decorated and furnished as the English mansion that it is. The host is so warm and friendly, and breakfast in the dining room is shear delight. Go there and you will not be disappointed.

The house is a delight, peaceful, serene and full of beautiful art, books and oddities. You could spend all day admiring the house alone. The gardens are beautiful and the maze fun! Being allowed to play the piano made the evenings rather special. The food was delicious and ample. The marmalade was the best I have ever tasted. Kate was...

Bosvathick is unique, a house that has been in Kate's family for centuries, full of beautiful things collected by so many generations of owners. It is also well loved. You can see that rooms are recently decorated and the garden is emerging from under the laurel hedges that, for decades, grew across the lawns. I would love to go back...

After the breakdown of our car on the first night she drove us to the inn we had booked for dinner and picked us up again. Starting the day with a lovely breakfast in the beautiful dining room...

This really is a lovely place to stay. Stayed for 1 night whilst visiting the Helford River area. The house is delightful with many curious knick knacks. We had a beautiful room with the scent of wisteria coming through. The breakfast was good. The owners are welcoming and even let me borrow a book which I shall return to them....

We returned to Bosvathic House for a second stay recently, it is such a delightful and peaceful place to visit. Again Kate was very welcoming and helpful, giving us advice on where to eat in the evening and booking a table for us. Our bedroom was large and very comfortable, tastefully furnished and the spacious bathroom just opposite was also...
