Extremely bad customer service, unhygienic horrible rooms- our bed had pubic hairs in and on the bed on our arrival and stains on the quilt and furniture, awful staff, small lacking menu. We stayed over New Year and I would never recommend it. We had to leave four days early after one night. And they had the audacity to take...

This hotel was a string of disappointments from the beginning. The hotel website is extremely misleading - the only parts that have been properly refurbished are the communal ones (restaurant, bar, pool area). We booked the old master suite (for £250 in low season!!) expecting pure luxury and 4 star spa experience. I can honestly say it was the worst...

The hotel looked like most of the others, a big Falmouth period house. Never tell a book by its cover, once inside it was a different story, exuding luxurious cosiness. We sadly only stayed one night and unfortunately had dinner booked elsewhere by friends so cannot comment on the restaurant dinner. Although having enjoyed the perfect breakfast in the restaurant...

Booked in for a night as a birthday treat for my wife, we was given a suite with a jacuzzi bath, the room was dated, but it was clean with wonderful views...we could not quite understand how we could use the shower, but with that large bath who cares? anyway we went down to their gym and pool...the gym was...

Very disappointed with the lack of changing rooms, one being out of order. lack of lockers, with most not able to lock. not very clean. Even though there was a young chap meant to be cleaning. Very over crowded in the pool. Won't be going back.

Different room from the one we booked. We were put in the 'honeymoon suite' something from the 1980's really needed decorating old jacuzzi sunken bath in room with broken drainage holes which were hazardous., thick layer of dust on top of the four poster easily visible from the raised bath area!. Unhelpful staff, awful food the waiters did not even...

I cannot recommend Merchants Manor highly enough! I was fortunate enough to win a one-night spa break in a competition and how lucky I was to find this beautiful place! As my Mum and I were travelling from Sussex, we decided to book an additional three nights and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we arrived we were...

We had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay at Merchants Manor this weekend. Really really good food, lovely helpful staff but there was a down side to our stay. Our room - A bit disappointing to be honest. Dated but comfortable. We had chance to speak to the General Manger direct and he understood our concerns. He informed us that...

The four of us went to Merchants Manor for a Sunday night bed, breakfast and evening meal deal. It was fantastic value £80 per couple. I had some misgiving as I could not believe it could be so cheap and be of a good quality. But it was fantastic. We had lovely double rooms in the newer part of the...

A Facebook advert tempted me to try the Sunday Lunch special and I was pleasantly surprised. Good food (only criticism was that the starter was tiny) but the roast beef was excellent with plenty of freshly cooked veg. Attentive polite staff.
