Having stayed before we chose St Michael's for a special birthday weekend - wish I hadn't bothered. My last visit the staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. This time the complete opposite. We opted for a Medium large room chasing not to have view due to etc short days and lack of daylight to enjoy the seaview.... More

An odd review this, as I was not expecting to stay here (although I have in the past). My son was booked in but suffered a family emergency whilst there. My wife and I had to visit and stay to babysit our grandson and my son took care of the problem. The staff at St. Michael's were so helpful. We... More

We’ve just recently returned from a long weekend at St Michaels and whilst this was mostly a wonderful stay there was a big issue with hot and cold water during our visit. Initially we stayed in room 18 – listed as a medium / large room with inland views. While tastefully decorated, the room does need a little attention –... More

You're making us blush! Thank you for your kind comments, although, obviously, we would have preferred that you weren't inconvenienced by the water issues we unfortunately encountered during your stay, it is great to read that you both appreciated the staffs efforts to make everything right whilst you were here and my email to you once you left. We look... More

We visited as a Family in November. The weather was somewhat grotty, but the hotel made up for this no end. On arrival we really struggled to find the entrance, and ended up walking through the Spa and into the Bar. Again, we struggled to find Reception but were promptly pointed in the right direction. We stayed in Room 25,... More

A family group of three couples who where attending a forty year family wedding celebration. We hired the cottage which is part of the hotel complex, and bang next door too. It was a great cottage with three bedrooms two with single beds and en suite bathrooms and one double with a shared bathroom in the hall. The cottage was... More

We recently had a 3 night stay in this lovely hotel. The staff were fantastic, so was the food and the location. Our room was lovely and the perfect size. The only down side we found was that when we entered the pool and spa area it was quite dirty. I mentioned it to the staff at the time and... More

We are delighted that you enjoyed your three-night break with us Charlotte. We are aware of some issues in our Pool area relating to cleanliness. We will be re-doubling our efforts in this area before the entire Spa and Health Club undergo total refurbishment over this winter and into 2017. More

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night. When arrived I was unsure where the main entrance was. I walked in which I thought was the spa entrance. A boat as a reception desk. Also the strong smell of chlorine from the pool. Which wasn't inviting. Apart from this, my room was really nice, but small. staff were lovely and the... More

Many thanks for your review of our exceptional food, lovely staff and really nice room. We are sorry that you felt our Main Entrance was difficult to find; we have plans to relocate our Entrance to create a more central arrival point for our guests over this winter and also we will be fully refurbishing our Spa area very soon... Stayed here for one night on a business trip. Good location. Outstanding food, especially if you like sea food. Very friendly and helpful staff 24hr bar! Clean, tidy rooms. Would highly recommend for a business trip or couples weekend away.

Even after booking DBB the hotel staff made a point of telephoning me to see if I wanted any extra services such a special occasion or spa booking made in advance of my arrival.
