We stayed for three nights last weekend. We had dinner on the Friday night as arrived quite late. It was very good food and very personal and polite service enjoyed. Lovely quiet time of year to stay here. Amazing views of the beach and great location as only 10 minutes walk to town. The room was extremely comfortable, large and... More

Lovely location with great views. Spent 3 nights on a Tinsel & Turkey break. Food was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Entertainment included a singer who thought we wanted all 50's-60's music but we like more modern stuff as well. As a largish group we were able to make our own entertainment.

Just to confirm here I'm going to be quite honest... I stayed a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Any comments about decor and a certain smell (which is ONLY IN ONE room of the hotel and comes from the chemicals used to keep the spa pool clean!) are not unfounded but rather than being stuck in the... My husband and I stayed for three nights in this superb Hotel. The accommodation was very good with wonderful sea views. The food was excellent and the staff very pleasant and helpful. Whilst this hotel clearly caters for coach parties and the older population this did not detract from our stay. The entertainment was fun and we enjoyed chatting to... More

Lovely friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and dinner menu. Very good service. Wonderful conservatory overlooking the sea, I have knocked off one star as there was no hook or stool in the bathroom to put your clothes on. We had to lay our clothes on the bathroom floor! If this was dealt with I would award 5++ stars. Would definately book... More

Stayed here overnight when moving daughter into Uni the next day. We are used to staying at a modern contemporary B and B so this was very different. More of a "stayed" hotel. Traditional bar area . Adjoining a long narrow conservatory with chairs and huge windows overlooking the sea. Nice having a drink there. Served by a friendly old... More

Awful door with a hatch that served as reception. Very dated hotel with musty smell throughout. Room was large with sea view but like stepping back in time. Air freshener covering up the musty smell again but very clean to be fair. Cheap uncomfortable mattress. Obviously more suited to the older generation as there were a few coach loads. Only... More

I booked this last minute, for myself and 2 friends. The hotel is only about a 10 min walk to the Marina, where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. The rooms were very clean, bathroom was a little small but it was not a problem. The staff were all very nice and polite, especially Colin who worked in... More

South Devon ramblers spent a week here as their annual walking holiday 2016. Despite its 2 star rating, this hotel gave us a really marvellous time. It is clean, the food is really good and substantial, the service friendly. They served 43 hungry ramblers speedily and catered good humouredly with special dietary requirements. Portions were ample and we all appreciated... More
