We have just returned from a two night stay over this Bank Holiday. We picked this hotel as it is close to Chester City centre without paying city centre prices,

Lovely room, 20 minute walk into Chester, taxi £5-£6, top breakfast, Bawn lodge bar very busy popular with locals, beer garden very popular, some noise from bar in rooms but doesn't affect stay. Highly recommend.
Only stayed one night but would definitely return. Room and ensuite were spotlessly clean and bed very comfortable. Good selection for a light breakfast but the full English we ordered was well cooked , fresh and tasty. The staff serving breakfast were polite and attentive....More
Staying at the Bawn Lodge a couple of nights per week as working away. Great team running the hotel, always lots going on in the bar. Great location for Hoole restaurants and bars, and a short walk into the City Centre.

Id ho to the holiday inn. If i were you the rooms are nice food is good and theres wifi. However if you really want to stay at Bawn lodge ask for a room the opposite the car park as room 11 is very noisy, the breakfast isnt very good as mine was half cooked and the woman that serves it is very impolite infact damn right rude, she is mentioned in afew write up brusque someone said unhelpful another just read for yourself there are other places if they sorted the woman out id go back. The other nighle is you have to wrresle with ppl drinking in the bar when you come back from shopping / sightseeing as the rooms reception is through the bar its a odd lay out you eat your breakfast in the bar on a morning. But see for your self if you go there theres lots of B&Bs on that road.
