We stayed here as we were attending a wedding reception in the hotel. The hotel is currently being refurbished however we were lucky enough to get a refurbished room, the old rooms and part of the hotel wasn't particularly appealing to me. Lovely new room, bed rather small as is room and the shower had little power but part from...

Booked this hotel through great escapes for my husbands 40th birthday. Was just what I wanted the hotel room was a superior which looked brand new with gorgeous interior decor and a huge bathroom with excellent facilities. Our room over looked the gardens and fields which was a beautiful view. We spent the afternoon in the pub attached to the...

I was looking to book somewhere for my mum's 70th birthday and was recommended this hotel & spa which I have to say was a fantastic choice. I made a special request on booking which was fulfilled and both room and view was beautiful. We had lunch in Nelsons bar which we both enjoyed and the food in Ciros was...

For 4 stars hotel everything should be perfect but it wasn't. Everything in this hotel is wrong. Hotel service it's terrible. I've been calling front desk for half an hour and no one even think to pick up the phone, then I go down to reception and no one was there cos everyone was sleeping. When on the next day...

The hotel looks lovely on the website but in reality is currently a building site. To be fair, this was mentioned on the booking. The reception is in a temporary area. Check in staff were pleasant The quality of the common parts is generally tired and needs updating with signs of wear. Our 'Executive Double' room (41) could charitably be...

Went for a relaxing short break, the front is a building site and work begins at 8am spoilt our stay unfortunately. I've uploaded pictures so you know what to expect. I'm sure once building work is completed it will be a nice place to stay but until then I would avoid

Despite building works going on, we enjoyed a pleasant stay here. Staff friendly and helpful. Food in bar was good too. Spa area really welcoming. Breakfast not the best but the smoked haddock which was freshly cooked was delicious. Would have liked nicer rolls and croissants, and the toast was thin white bread, not to our liking. The better furnished...

Just got back from a lovely 2 night stay. Although I had read there was building work going on, it did not impact on our stay at all. I look forward to re-visiting to see the upgraded hotel as the plans look fabulous. We were a little early to check in but went to Nelsons Bar for some lunch. Nice...

We may have just been unlucky but our trip was slightly ruined by noise. The Sunday evening had a wedding on and some of the noise and language from the guests was not acceptable. It was still going on very late into the night .This was not helped by inadequate soundproofed doors and I would suggest new doors would significantly...
