This hotel thoroughly deserves its high rating. Spent one night there in order to visit Chester uch lifewhich is easily accessible on foot. Staff very friendly and attentive and hotel clean and attractive. Rooms are well presented although very small but we knew that. Breakfast was excellent. We stayed in room 17. It was fine but there is not much...

Stayed end of March. Looked lovely when we first walked in. The owners we're dealing with some rep and didn't even look up. We checked in with very helpful staff. Room was very dated with damp and stained ceilings. The head board of the bed was just an old metal thing rammed between the bed and the wall, so was...

This has to be one of the oddest places we have visited. It was more like a residence, which as a resident would be ok, but felt strange for a "Hotel". Managed to tread on a cat on the way in, it had parked itself right by the front door! Our room, well it had character, sloping floors, low slung...

We had a small double room, it was fresh clean and had a shower and toilet en suit, not to big but i have been in smaller ones. The breakfast was...

We booked a "small double" room for 2 nights and would not have wanted to stay in it any longer. The room wasn't a decent size single, never mind a double. The bed was more like a three-quarter bed and there was no room around it. The shower was a joke: not enough power and the hot water cut off...

Very clean and tidy, nice little bar and eating room, Don't think too many people will be disappointed but equally you wouldn't rave too much. The food in the evening was average and breakfast was ok, but service lacking a little. They ask how you would like your EGGS cooking but you only get 1 OK for £55 per night...

Traditional B&B about 10 minutes walk from Chester town center. Good base and a decent size car park, although quite a squeeze to get into if there are bigger cars already in the way. The staff were helpful, especially the young guy on reception. Rooms were nice, spacious and a good bath / shower - although we did find it...
