The rooms are modern and spotless. The owner Bash is very helpful and friendly. The location is quiet and peaceful. City centre is only 10 minutes walk. There is a small private car park for residents. Very good value for money. We will certainly stay again.

First time to Chester and was warmly welcomed by the owner of the Ormonde. Very attentive and informative host, even printed off a map of the area for us, couldn't do enough to help. Fresh and modern guest house, would definitely return. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Lovely little guest house for an over night stay. It's currently under renovation, but we had no noise disturbance. The bathrooms are modern but have no complimentary toiletries so make sure you pack some shampoo and body wash! The rooms are nice and comfy too, tea and coffee provided and a big tv on the wall. Perfect for anyone arriving...

I picked this guest house as it's ideally situated near the student accommodation my daughter was staying in, as a woman travelling alone I felt very safe. The room was comfortable and recently renovated, perhaps a little smaller than I'm used to but it had wifi and tea making facilities and a spotlessly clean en suite shower room. I was...

Not Sure why this place had some bad reviews maybe I was in a renovated room and they were not. The room was small but for £40 a night and so close to the train station I was not expecting 5 stars. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, TV and coffee in all rooms. I only stayed one night...

The reception isn't the most welcoming but the owner did inform me the they were waiting till after Christmas to renovate it. The rooms have recently been modernised & I have to say they have done a brilliant job. Would recommend if you are needing somewhere to stay close to the station & city centre 👍🏻👍🏻

we were welcomed at the door by the owner, very friendly guy, who showed us to our rooms upstairs telling us to ignore the state of the reception as it is being redone with plans to finish next year, the room was nice and warm (lovely as it was freezing weather when we arrived) the beds are super comfy and...

Shabby reception does not give the best first impression. Rooms are basic, the tv is located behind the headboard of the bed so difficult to watch. Owner wanted extra money to store our cases for an hour on the day if departure. Not somewhere we would stay again.

Staff were lovely and really helpful. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was really comfortable. The only down side was there was no mirror in the bedroom but I would definitely recommend this hotel

I booked a night at the Ormonde guest house as I was working in Chester and needed to be close to the train station. When I walked in around 3,30pm, I couldn't believe how bare the place was. A man asked me my name told me “that's £40” then took me to my single room. The door had been kicked...
