Me and my partner have stayed here over the weekend. Really nice family run hotel. Clean and warm. Breakfast was really nice and Mike checked that we had enough. Offered us a bigger room. Would stay again. 15 minute walk into town. Would recommend.

A pleasant stay with a good breakfast. About a 15 min walk in to the city centre. We had meals in the Lodge Bar ( down the road) and the hotel across the road. I preferred the meal in the lodge bar TBH. Would happily recommend the Bowman Lodge for a short stay.

We were greeted by Mike and he was vey accommodating and friendly. The room was a good size (was a family room with a single and a double), Victorian house with high ceilings and large window and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, not included in the price but you could book it the night before and... More

Stayed 2nights, had room 7 attic room quite small but more than adequate, its all a bit worn around the edges but is kept clean and tidy. We were made very welcome on arrival, and were given plenty of information/recommendations on where to go for meals or a drink. We decided to add on the option of breakfast it was... More

Excellent service from Mike and Jayne, we booked small double on ground floor and twin room on first floor. Both were super clean the twin turned out to be a large family room plenty of room for four adults to relax in . Mike offered breakfast at a time to suit us, which we took up freshly cooked and varied... More

Booked here as we were going out for a night out in Chester. Lovely place. very welcoming and helpful. Didn't have the breakfast so I'm unable to comment on that. Did park on the road but that wasn't an issue at all. The bed rooms were clean and towels were available. If I stay in Chester again then I will... More

Lovely little b&b, we came for August bank holiday weekend. And what a lovely place it is, the pictures uv seen online don't do the place justice. Within walking distance of pubs/bars and shops and a short taxi or a nice walk to city centre. Very nice service and breakfast and a place I'd use again
