Stayed for week on business and was really looked after! Rooms were really lovely and clean with AMAZING lampshades! Looks like they have just been refurbished. I stayed in a classic room so I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised! Hannah on Reception was very helpful, especially when I asked for assistance printing some documents. I wanted to check...

We visited Oddfellows and booked last minute as a holiday abroad had been cancelled (due to air traffic control strikes) and booked the suite located in the loft space with the 2 bath tubs. We were meant to be having a romantic break in Barcelona to celebrate out engagement and whilst I understand that Chester is a huge compromise, I...

I love quirky as long as it has the modern slant! As a result, a birthday afternoon tea at Oddfellows was perfect! We were certainly a demanding bunch- one on a high protein and no carbs diet, one vegetarian, one child and two 'normal eaters'! They pleased all of us! All the staff were eager to please and I enjoyed...

I organised a hen weekend staying in the apartments by Oddfellows. The apartments are amazing! Really good value between a group of you. They are spacious and decorated very nicely. We also had a meal in the private dining room in the main Oddfellows building. It was ideal for a hen party as it meant we could talk and play...

We have stayed a night in Sep on the last day of the Chester racing when the town was buzzing and absolutely loved the room and the customer service was fabulous!! Will visit again. I loved the Big beer garden and the location for Bnb is perfect!!

This boutique hotel and restaurant is the zaniest place you can imagine, not only because the decor is off beat but there are numerous unusual exhibits. My visit was to attend a wedding so I sampled the great dining experience and the excellent hospitality as well as looked over a bedroom, but I didn't stay the night because I live...

The rooms are quirky and very comfortable and well-euipped - a facinating blend of old and modern. The restaurant (food, service and ambience) is excellent. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. What more could one want? Nothing (for me). But those potential guests who cannot climb stairs should be warned that there are stairs from the street to...

My partner and I had the most amazing meal here during our visit to Chester. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. I can only describe the food as out of this world; we both had three courses and each dish complemented each other perfectly. Even though it was a bit more...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
As a hotel, bar and restaurant, Oddfellows brings a fresh and unique experience to Chester. The 18 exclusive boutique bedrooms each have their own charm and combination of iconic and contemporary furnishings. The design of the bedrooms is inspired by architect John Douglas who designed Chester’s landmark Eastgate Clock, cinematographer Peter Newbrook who brought the Oscar-winning Lawrence of Arabia to life, and the illustrator Randolph Caldecott whose humorous images were simply irresistible. Complete with The Garden by Simon Radley -our Mediterranean-inspired restaurant - and The Secret Garden - a unique indoors/outdoors oasis; Oddfellows provides the ideal escape... ... more   less
