There was 4 of us and we all thought this place was good. Service at the bar to take out choices was good. The delivery of the food was fast and done nicely. The food was really nice and the overall experience was good so if in the area again we would call in. We did not stay in the... More

A warm welcome on arrival, receptionist polite and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable.......clean bathroom and warm kingside bed. Drinks in the bar were served by friendly, smiling bar staff. .....we felt relaxed. Can't fault breakfast..........in fact, I'm going to pop in with a newspaper and enjoy coffee and scrambled egg ...

I paid for a larger room and so it was. You will not be cold here. I turned the radiator off and opened the window the crack allowed. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom just fine. I was in room 11 and it's a hike to get to, with stairs so keep luggage to a minimum. Breakfast the next... More

The Lamb, really needs to decide what it is and who it's customers are. The staff can't seem to cope with it being a hotel and restaurant and bar. They certainly don't prioritise their hotel residents and show variable understanding of their customers and customer care. We stayed as a group of 6 over the Ely Christmas Market weekend. On... The Lamb hotel looks lovely and the atmosphere is great but sadly the service and food let it down. Food took ages to come and wasn't great. We had a four year old with us and her dinner came out last after they had brought one wrong meal. We all had the roast but it was poor, roast potatoes not... More

We were visiting Ely for the Christmas market and knew it would be busy therefore we pre booked a table for lunch. We arrived for our table at 12.30 and whilst the table was ready, we were told there would be an hour's wait for food as they hadn't anticipated being so busy. Seriously??? On Christmas market day???? It was... More

Visited the restaurant on 20th November 2016 to celebrate a birthday. We were booked in at 1.30pm, and arrived early. The order was placed at 1.33pm. At 2.10pm I queried where the food was. Five minutes laters we were told that it would be another 20 minute way. Waiting over an hour is clearly not acceptable. We had to be... More

Location of the car park is a bit tricky. As you arrive at the Hotel, the car park is at the rear, but it's on a one way road, so you have to go passed the Hotel and work out which roads to go down to get back on yourself. Once there, the car park has very limited parking, but... More

The service has not improved since I last went over a year ago. Quite a few things forgotten, order messed up. Staff seem stressed even when restaurant is empty. The food was ok for the price, nothing special but not bad. Smiling staff and more of an effort in getting the order correct and I would go back
