I was booked in to this hotel by my employer and it was not my choice - I have to say I wouldn't have chosen it at the time, as a co-worker had stayed here and had nothing good to say about it, so I was somewhat apprehensive about my stay. I approached it with the view that it was...

A central hotel but with limited parking. The facilities were good but a little refurbishment would be welcome. The staff helpful and attended to a request immediately. . Not all rooms have baths .Breakfast was excellentand I would recommend this hotel.

Pros: the hotel is near the city center, only ten minutes walk; breakfast is rich and delicious with a variety of dishes of both the Continental and the Italian breakfast. Cons: the hotel is very old, my room was very dirty and noisy, and the staff was not so friendly and helpful.

Spent two nights here while attending a graduation. Location is great. You can walk to the center and to every major area of the university. Check in was smooth. There are no elevators so if you have heavy luggage, be ready to carry it up a few stairs. The room, although very clean, is VERY small. For the two of...

Half way between town centre and station so in a very convenient location. About a 20 minute walk from station and 15 minutes into centre. Basic in terms of amenities, which is expected, but let down by lack of finesse in several aspects. E.g. the key card system was a pain - not sure if it was just the one...

The positives: Overall the room and bathroom was nice and clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice, modern looking and had a bath with a shower in. The room had a wardrobe, a full-size mirror, dressing table, couple of chairs and a tea tray with a bottle of water and a selection of hot drinks. The staff were really...

Friendly and well-organised but our room though clean was pretty shabby. It was very hot, even though the radiators were turned off and the room faced the road, so with the window open it was like trying to get to sleep on a motorway. It is in an excellent position for both the station and the centre of town.

Stayed for one night travelling with family members. The room was good for the one night, had a kettle, biscuits, plenty of towels and shower gels etc. Had been freahly painted also. The bathroom could have done with an update but was still functional. The beds were a bit hard as were the pillows, but that was for us, other...

Although a decent looking place from the outside I found this hotel a great disappointment. The bathroom was particularly poor and swinging a cat would be quite an achievement.Breakfast was functional and okay.

Me and my sister stayed at the Lensfield for two nights as part of a girly getaway in May 2016. If I were to do things differently, I wouldn't go in May as it is exam season and most of the colleges are closed to tourists. I wouldn't go Sunday-Tuesday because museums are closed on Monday so we were unable...
