Booked this hotel due to it having swimming facilities in a city centre hotel, to arrive and be told that it hasn't been open for 2 years. Very disappointing seeing as this was booked via Mercue/Accor telephone number and a hotel with swimming pool was requested. Website says pool is temporarily closed but this is once you scroll down to the bottom of the web page after it lists a pool as part of the facilities at the very top of the page! Buyagift also advertise this hotel as having pool facilities. Hotel is in walking distance to the bars/restaurants and shops. We parked in Whapping Wharf car park, a 10 minute walk away for £4.60 a day rather than £17 at the hotel. Privilege room was nice and bed was comfy. We did have a pillow with a nasty stain on it which was so prominent that it could be seen through the pillow case cover- they came and quickly changed it but not even as much as an apology. Nice food and friendly staff in the restaurant, dinner and breakfast was nice. Would stay again for convenience.

Hotel's Favourite
I have visited this hotel twice and each time was a pleasure. The privilege rooms are lovely and big, I really liked the free-standing bath, couldn’t fault the hotel. One of the best 4 stars I’ve visited. Restaurant was nice also at dinner, room service breakfast is gorgeous!

This hotel is well placed for Bristol's growing cargo retail & hospitality offer in & around Wapping Wharf. We enjoyed craft beers & a wide choice of international food styles, of which the 7 Lucky Gods Japanese restaurant was outstanding. The hotel was almost fully functional, albeit the bar closed before 10pm on all three nights; the breakfast buffet was fine, even for the late arrivals; the swimming pool was closed, apparently for maintenance; car parking was easy, at the rear of the premises, but at £17 per 24 hours alternative car parks are attractive! All in all, for Covid times a much enjoyed getaway.

This is the second stay for me at the Mercure Bristol Holland House. The overwhelming positive point about this hotel is the attitude of all of the staff who were all very friendly, polite and professional. The Hotel was very clean and generally well maintained however, it is very dated and there are areas of the hotel which are showing significant signs of wear and tear such as the carpets in the hall ways and large gauges in the corridor walls where trolleys have banged into the walls. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The heating was both noisy and not adequate to keep the room warm, especially as it switches off when you leave the room. For some reason the shower door had been removed and also the toilet flush was somewhat difficult to use. The hotel is OK, I have definitely stayed in worse and the rates available do offer good value for money meaning that I will probably stay there again.

We stayed from 31st of July to the 2nd of August for my daughter’s 10th birthday, it is always a pleasure to stay at the Accor group of hotels. And it's definitely a home from home. I would like to thank each and every member of staff from the Reception, Housekeeping, Restaurant, and Bar. All staff is extremely helpful with a warm welcoming smile on their face.
