Despite being asked what time we would arrive - we said 4pm - when we arrived the heating had only just been put on. It was a bitter cold day and the rooms were freezing! We were told it would soon heat up, but it didn't get much better. I hardly slept because I was so cold. There were adequate...

We had stayed in this B@B when the previous owners had it, but I remembered it was very cold so we did not return even though our family lives in the same road and it was convenient. But we were told that the new owners(Nick & Pat) are very nice, and they really were so welcoming and friendly. We had...

Excellent B&B with friendly owners (+dog !). Handy for getting into the centre by bus. Good choice of breakfasts in a very attractive conservatory, comfortable bed, free on-street parking. Ideal for a short break.

Downlands house in henleaze is a super great value B&B . The breakfast is excellent, the hospitality is fantastic and the rooms very comfortable. There are nine rooms all I believe with en-suite , the style is classic and tasteful. The place is spotless and warm with great showers.

We loved this beautiful little guesthouse. Our room was light and airy with a comfortable bed, coffee and tea in the room and a full English breakfast served in a glass sunroom or the garden if the weather is good. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the location was very good with easy access to bus routes to downtown,...

I have only been to Bristol twice and both times I stopped at the Downlands House. I cant fault the hotel or the people, nothing is too much trouble. Not sure when I will next be in Bristol but when I am it will be the only place I consider stopping.

In need of an update. In the room I stayed in the bathroom was tired and needed a refurb and mis match of furniture in the bedroom. Limited breakfast - cereal, 1 type of juice but no yoghurt or fresh fruit. Pleasant people but not up to the best competition.

We recently spent several nights at Downlands House while on vacation in England. This B&B is conveniently located to #1 and #2 bus stops in a quiet residential neighborhood. The bus ride to Bristol City Center is about 10 minutes. It is within site seeing distance to parks, Bristol Zoo, and Clifton Suspension Bridge. The hostess runs a clean and...

This guest house is on a quiet street just off the main road through Henleaze with its busy shops and cafes, but we found it a very quiet and peaceful place to stay. We had a double room at the top of he house which was clean and equipped with a black out blind which ensured an uninterrupted and comfy...
