We were not stating in the hotel but we were invited for lunch in the Bridge Restaurant with a party of friends and frankly we were not too impressed. Work was being undertaken as part of the hotel refurbishment and the meal was eaten with a background of noisy work, with workmen passing through the back of the restaurant. The...

I stayed her for one night on a business trip. I was greeted by Leah a very warm welcome. I stayed on the 4th floor in room 407 which was lovely. It had just been refurbished. Really comfortable bed, I loved all the little touches. Luxury shampoo and conditioner, shower gel and body lotion. Nespresso machine was also a lovely...

Stayed for one night on local business. Recently refurbished room which still smelled faintly of wet paint, rain shower and Nespresso machine were nice touches. Great service throughout. Food was good but a bit pricey. Wide breakfast choice and really enjoyed salmon eggs Benedict. NB: bit of a walk from car park to reception, you may want to check out...

Stayed for one night on business, with colleagues, and arranged for a meeting room on the second day. Having previously lived in Bristol, I was a little hesitant to book the Avon Gorge for a group of business colleagues, as it had always struck me as a place that simply traded off of it's (admittedly very fine) view from the...

A convenient hostelry for lunch with a superb view of the Gorge. We were very fortunate to be there on a hot sunny day and relaxed in chairs on the Terrace afterwards. Luncheon was OK and the seafood buffet very good. There is a pub adjoining and it is a very popular spot.

On our journey to Cornwall we had booked this hotel to break the journey and also to revisit the SS Great Britain. We were upgraded to a superior room with balcony and a lovely view across the gorge and the bridge. We had a excellent meal in the restaurant with friends ,albeit a little overpriced the good was good. The...

Not a good start to our visit to the Avon Gorge. Despite its stunning location, we were let down on arrival by rooms not being ready (despite it being past check in time) 1and a half hrs later room is ready.....and realise that it wasn't housekeeping causing the delay....the room wasn't finished! As part of the refurbished floor my teenagers...

Spent a sunny lunchtime having drinks and sharing pizza. I hadn't realised that the inside bar area had been revamped, it's a lot more spacious now. The pizza was good, a little expensive but big size. Still one of the best views in Bristol.

Booked the Brunel room for husbands birthday. We all booked into the hotel, family and friends. The evening meal in the brunel room was excellent and the waiter Antonio was great. The downside was the experience in the hotel and rooms. Rooms were shabby and dated, ripped bedding, stained carpets, tatty bathrooms, but they had a lovely view. The most...
