This hotel is in the heart of classic Bristol, and is easy walking distance from many attractions. I stayed for business but managed to get out and about conveniently. The Hotel is nice with good facilities, the staff friendly and helpful. Altogether this made a business trip a pleasant trip - I feel that I have visited Bristol as well...

We took advantage of a special offer over Christmas and had a very enjoyable, relaxing and comfortable stay. Our room was exceptionally large, well furnished and with all of the usual facilities including free wi-fi and a very powerful shower. There is a car park next to the hotel which is very convenient but it is a little narrow to...

We booked this hotel for a anniversary break and didn't really get what we expected when we booked the junior suite (basically your average hotel room with a door to an adjoining living room) which was very clean but the decor was a lot more dated than the photos on the website. We got breakfast with our room which was...

The hotel is large and many of the rooms are internal, with only a window onto a small central service yard, but as I was staying in the winter and only overnighting the curtains were drawn anyway. Leisure centre is across the road and not all that well maintained, with critical equipment batteries having been allowed to run out with...

I stayed in the Grand Hotel with my wife and two sons for 3 nights in December. First impressions of the hotel is the groups of people hanging around outside the main door smoking. This was a regular occurrence and not something you would expect from a quality hotel. The staff at reception were incredibly friendly and helpful. The common...

I only stay for a weekend but I have good experience. Hotel is located in city center so everything is just walking distance. Rooms shut a bit bigger but for short stay was not bad. I will defiantly stay over there again.

This is the first time we've stayed at this hotel . Grand it is not . It's ok. Good location and parking ok but hotel is dated and a bit tatty . The room was fine just too warm . Even with the 'aircon on' it was too hot (ok if it was a nursing home ) . The biggest...

In the past we have looked forward to returning to this hotel. This time it was such a disappointment. No where near the standard of when it was run by the Thistle group. The room was shoddy and not at all like the rooms we have been allocated in the past and not very clean. A dirty tea spoon was...

Half of November my girlfriend and I ended up in Bristol with no plans about where to sleep. We found a room in "the grand hotel". I was the one who made the reservation online and as always I did a big mess. Only thanks the sincere and truly unselfish help from the guy at the reception (Andrea) we have...

We stayed two nights whilst on a road trip from London. The hotel staff are lovely and very friendly. The room was small, but very clean and had the basics of what we needed. The pool complex is in another building next door, and to be honest, needs a little more attention. The staff should be cleaning and mopping the...
