This was just a one-night stay in Bristol to meet up with friends for dinner. The choice of hotel could not have been better. Firstly it was easy to get to coming from the Bath direction on the A4, without having to go through the horrendous traffic in Bristol centre. Secondly, parking was easy in the NCP multi-story next door...

Dear Rodeman, Thank you for the excellent review. The hotels location and NCP make it an ideal location to enjoy Bristol without any of the hassle. I am sorry to read the concern you raised with the children around the bar area. This is something with a wedding taking place is unavoidable, however the Guest Relations Manager on shift should...

Stayed her for one night to celebrate my daughters birthday. Centrally located harbourside, The Bristol Hotel is the perfect location to relax. The high street shops are roughly a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Reception welcome was fab and we were asked what floor we would prefer to stay on. The receptionist said he would give us his favourite...

The staff, in particular the reception team were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much. The room was clean and well equipped. We had a coffee maker & kettle. The location of the hotel was ideal, being right on the harbourside and therefore we were within walking distance restaurants & shops. There was an added bonus as car parking...

Excellent overall. Visited with friends for a birthday day/ night out. Great location. Great parking facilities which was free even after we had checked out which made the Sunday leaving day less rushed than usual. Self service breakfast was lovely with nice variety and room was very clean and tidy.

I stay here a lot and I upgraded as a bit of a treat - it was a mistake, the room could not have been further from reception, I had to lug my case and multiple bags up and down steps - the room was smaller than standard. The only benefit was a view over the harbour but wasn't planning...

Dear DonandStuTyn, Thank you for the recent feedback. I am sorry to read that you had a poor experience when paying for an upgrade for the deluxe room. Our rooms do differ in size due to the nature of the building. What the deluxe upgrade provides over the standard rooms are the complimentary mineral waters, air con, Nespresso machines, robes...

The Bristol a Hotel is a dark, grimly decorated place but it cuts the mustard for several reasons . . . . very friendly reception staff, well appointed bedrooms, and a good city centre location. Such a pity that they use all these somber green colours everywhere and seem to have entirely forgotten to put up a few pictures on...

I stay here on business trips and it's a great location meaning I can walk along the river / harbour to the office. It's great for going out too as there are many restaurants within walking distance and the river side is really buzzing. So as a single business traveller that gets my vote too. It's also good to stay...

I chose The Bristol Hotel for the location. My husband and I were only staying in Bristol for one night. We wanted somewhere close to the harbour and The Bristol Hotel was perfect. Second time we have stayed here and again could not fault it. Room on the 6th floor was excellent and far enough up to avoid being disturbed by the buzz of the harbourside quay.
