Recently named Best Restaurant in a Guesthouse/Motel - Regional NSW, by the 2015 Restaurant & Catering Awards For Excellence, the charming Crackenback Farm Restaurant & Guesthouse is located in the beautiful Crackenback Valley five minutes from Jindabyne. The position is perfect for skiing and summer sports at either Thredbo or Perisher, being less than ten minutes drive to the Ski Tube, and only ten minutes further to Thredbo Village. Under new management since 2013, the Glenn Murcutt-designed lodge has six rooms offering every comfort, and a private lounge for in-house guest use only. A delicious Crackenback country breakfast is included. The French country-farmhouse restaurant draws accolades for some of the best food in the Snowy Mountains, with a cathedral-ceilinged main dining room and a well-selected wine list. There is a bar for relaxing before and after dinner. In season the restaurant trades for both lunch and dinner. Crackenback Farm looks forward to welcoming you and your family ...

We spent 2 nights at this cosy boutique hotel in crackenback! Built similar to European alpine hotels, one gets the feeling of being transported to the alpine the moment you enter!! The team is very thoughtful & helpful! The best thing about the hotel is their restaurant! OMG, its fine dining at your mother’s house! Generous portion & extremely tasty food! We tried the duck, spatchcock, trout, pork all were excellent! I advise you to have a light lunch! The breakfast was excellent too! Good coffee, fruits and proper cooked breakfast! Very centrally located with easy access to Thredbo & Jindabyne! My only recommendation to the hotel is Better WIFI strength in the room especially due to lack of mobile signal in the rooms! Increased water pressure on the shower!

Booked for the Thursday Special Seafood night at Crackenback Lodge. Being treated to a menu prepared and cooked by Jodie Evans was an absolute treat. We stayed the night, the room was comfortable and looked out over the beautiful natural gardens. Next morning after a delicious and generous breakfast I bought a couple of Jodie’s take home meals, The chicken, mushroom and leek soup was stunning. Expect us back and next time we will book for the a la carte menu.

My partner and I consider the Snowy Mountains a home away from home and so it was extra special to celebrate our first wedding anniversary at Crackenback Farm. It is a beautiful guesthouse in a stunning location, but most special of all was the warm welcome received from the staff throughout our stay. (It was just a shame that Precious the cat didn't pay us a visit!) The breakfasts are also fantastic, and be sure not to miss dinner at the restaurant. The food is delicious, in a very comfortable setting with excellent service.

We have always enjoyed eating at the restaurant but last night we were lucky enough to stay the night after dinner. We had a great night! The farm is situated in a great location, opposite The Wild Brumby Distillery and perfectly located for visits to both Thredbo and Perisher.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Crackenback Farm and Guest House and absolutely loved it. The owner’s cat welcomed us, meowing a greeting as we parked the car, while inside a relaxed pooch basked in the sunlight filtering through the farmhouse windows. There are 6 loft-style rooms so it never feels overcrowded. They are warm, well equipped and have comfy beds, perfect after a hard day on the slopes. The food is the highlight. I enjoyed the cauliflower and blue cheese soup, the duck legs, and the lemon curd tart with raspberries, but everything we ordered during our time there was flavoursome and delicious. The staff are friendly, and I now have another favourite wine saved on my app. As regular visitors to the Snowy Mountains, my husband and I can’t wait to visit Crackenback Farm and Guest house again soon. Highly recommended! ❤️❄️
