Detailed Reviews
From the moment we arrived the hospitality was flawless. We were greeted and shown our accomodation before being shown to a private dining room for Guesthouse guests only. They had the heater on in anticipation of our arrival and the room was exceptional, art and decor was unique and comfortable. Our accomodation was tastefully decorated with plenty of original pieces of art and very clean. Beds were comfortable, linen crisp white and clean with beautiful fluffy pillows. Breakfast was served in the restaurant overlooking the farm, we were lucky enough to score a table close to the fireplace and enjoyed fresh seasonal fruits with yogurt, eggs anyway with a side of mushrooms and crispy bacon topped by a fantastic coffee. What a great place to stay... I highly recommend Crackenback Farm if you are lucky enough to snag a date thats vacant

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Crackenback Farm and Guest House and absolutely loved it. The owner’s cat welcomed us, meowing a greeting as we parked the car, while inside a relaxed pooch basked in the sunlight filtering through the farmhouse windows.
There are 6 loft-style rooms so it never feels overcrowded. They are warm, well equipped and have comfy beds, perfect after a hard day on the slopes.
The food is the highlight. I enjoyed the cauliflower and blue cheese soup, the duck legs, and the lemon curd tart with raspberries, but everything we ordered during our time there was flavoursome and delicious. The staff are friendly, and I now have another favourite wine saved on my app.
As regular visitors to the Snowy Mountains, my husband and I can’t wait to visit Crackenback Farm and Guest house again soon.
Highly recommended! ❤️❄️

Booked for the Thursday Special Seafood night at Crackenback Lodge. Being treated to a menu prepared and cooked by Jodie Evans was an absolute treat.
We stayed the night, the room was comfortable and looked out over the beautiful natural gardens.
Next morning after a delicious and generous breakfast I bought a couple of Jodie’s take home meals,
The chicken, mushroom and leek soup was stunning.
Expect us back and next time we will book for the a la carte menu.

This was a sublime experience in a beautiful part of the world. we had the dinner, bed and breakfast deal which was very good value. we had a king size bed (perfect for a big fella like myself) and although the room is quite small it was perfectly comfortable with an excellent shower. the highlight was without question the culinary experience of dinner, great choice, excellent fodder, beautifully presented. it is also worth noting the expertise of Christopher who was in charge, front of house, good humoured, excellent sommelier, great company, who set exactly the right tone. He made our two nights memorable. And although we were the only couple staying overnight, the dining room was very popular with outside guests both nights. A memorable stay. Strongly recommend.

I met up with my Sister and husband from Melbourne. We drove 6 hours from Sydney. About half way for both couples.
My husband and I can highly recommend Crackenback Farm & Guesthouse. We stayed 3 nights over the Easter weekend. A three course dinner & hot breakfast was included in our nightly rate. Every course at dinner was superb, with a very extensive wine list to match. A farm fresh hot breakfast, with a made to order cappuccino was waiting for us each morning. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was very good. We made a visit to the Wild Brumby Distillery across the road, rode the quad chair at Thredbo and walked to the Summit return and visited Jindabyne, Lake Crackenback and walked around the lakes the following day.
The temperature was around 25 degrees in April and the changes of the Autumn colours in the trees was an added bonus.
We will definitely be returning.

We spent an amazing 3 days at Crackenback Farm Restaurant & Guesthouse for my birthday. We were welcomed by Jen, Jodie, Trene, Precious the cat, and Jilly the dog, and the fantastic restaurant staff from the minute we walked in. I had the most difficult job to get my wife out of the super comfy bed, however it was worth it for her; to view the sunrise over the snow, and to be visited by a wombat and Eastern Grey Kangaroo.
Dinner: Wow. Speechless. Absolutely delightful food and setting with the open fire. Generous, French farmhouse style cuisine. Lovely wines to sample, and it was a good thing that we only had a few metres to waddle back to the room to sleep it off.
We were welcomed in the mornings by the girls (and Jilly the dog asking for pats) with big smiles and big coffees and the simple: "OK, what do you feel like for breakfast this morning? We'll see if we have it (they always did) and make it for you". No need for menus here, and it was just grand.
I'm sure the guys are doing it tough under these challenging times. Do them, and yourself, a solid and visit Crackenback Farm Restaurant & Guesthouse. It really really is a wonderful experience. We are already planning our return visit next year.

We had been keen to visit for quite a while and our 3 day stay was fantastic.
Whilst the accommodation is rustic (originally a small ski lodge) the facilities are first rate. Beds comfortable, quiet warm rooms and great atmosphere in the shared lounge, bar, dining areas and outside deck.
Jodie was an excellent host and meals were very good. A full breakfast each day meant no need for a lunch and we looked forward to dinner each night of our Thursday to Sunday stay.
Front of house during our stay was Christopher who was a friendly and very experienced host with many recommendations for activities. Also an accomplished sommelier.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the music concert from Wild things Run band which was another lucky reason to visit.
Would thoroughly recommend and will visit again.

We were fortunate enough to be able to get a booking on the day!
lunch was terrific, wait staff were keen to make the meal pleasurable. the Sommelier seemed a little stressed but on the whole this was a memorable dining experience. Meals were decent sized servings, well presented and nicely flavoured. The restaurant has a country style ambiance. We thought the 15% surcharge on Easter Sunday was a tad high. The restaurant/farm stay is a a beautiful location and minutes away from Jindabyne. Happy to recommend.

We loved it so much we went back two nights in a row.
Having had rather ordinary and expensive meals in Thredbo, I was delighted to find this charming restaurant with delicious food and great service. Everything tasted out of this world! Doesnt matter what you have off the menu, its sure to be a hit.
....although my husband would rate the Apple and plum crumble above everything else!
Can't wait to go back. Next time we'll stay there too.
Well done team, so nice to find a place in Australia with good staff, wonderful atmosphere and fine food.
