I stayed here before doing the Lake Vyrnwy Half marathon. I chose this one because of other reviews, the fact it was the cheapest and it looked lovely. Its location was great, about 20 min from the lake but it had beautiful scenery of its own. I arrived early to make the most of my time in the area and...

What is there to say? Mike and Val the greatest of hosts. Smoked Salmon & scrambled egg to die for. Surely the benchmark for B & B's. possible to do the top of Mt. Snowmen by train and Canarfon Castle in one day as the railway is only 20mins from castle. A great base to explore this part of Wales...

A great one night's bb stay in a quite off the road spot and within 100 yards of the New Inn pub. This beautifully appointed and well designed large bungalow offers rooms with every conceivable extra-even home made cake. Ours was a large spacious room with exacting standards and large bathroom with an additional curved glass showeroom, fluffy towels etc....

This place is fabulous! Really nice room with everything that you might want and need, including a very handy fridge for drinks. Mike and Val are lovely, really helpful and accommodating. They also cook an awesome breakfast and cake as good as what my Mum makes. Definitely recommend a stay, and would definitely go back.

We stayed for two nights at Pen Derw. The location was great for exploring the area around lake Bala and into Snowdonia - the drive from Llangynog to Bala is beautiful! Breakfast was really tasty, the beds were comfy and Mike and Val were brilliant hosts. Would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed a three night stay in the beautiful accommodation. Mike and Val were very helpful supplying us with directions before we set off. They provided a warm welcome with fantastic facilities; a fridge in the room, comfy memory foam mattress bed, use of sun loungers in the garden and fresh cake daily. This really is a luxury B&B which...
