If you look at the 250 odd reviews in my profile, you will find that it is not easy to get a five star rating from me. Here is one exception. The building itself has been lovingly and tastefully restored while being modernized for comfort and efficiency. The breakfast room and garden are a wonderful retreat and a great place...

Greeted with a very warm welcome - the hotel is a quiet oasis with good size rooms and everywhere spotlessly clean - what more can we say We have now stayed half a dozen times as we watch the building works evolve at our new French house and would not choose anywhere else in the area

Great hotel in a tiny village. We booked the disabled room on the ground floor. Very convenient. The bathroom is suitable and spacious and the beds very, very comfortable. The decor is beautiful and rustic, no modern furniture. The staff is super welcoming. Breakfast is traditionally French. We will come back. There is no restaurant in the hotel and the...

This small B&B hotel is centrally located in Aulnay in a quiet street. The building has been renovated in an excellent and sensitive manner. Our room and bathroom ensuite, located on the top floor, was spacious and very clean. There is a excellent breakfast room and well maintained garden, where guests can take their drinks. The owners are very friendly...

This was our second visit to Hotel du Donjon. We found the hotel on an internet site last year and deliberately flew to an airport miles from where we were staying simply to spend a bit more time with Stephanie and Thiery (and not forgetting the delightful Gizmo the dog) in their lovely hotel. Our hosts could not be more...

This is, perhaps the most enjoyable place we have stayed so far in the three weeks walking the Chemin de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle. It is a charming boutique family run hotel, in a beautifully refurbished old farm building. The renovation work must have had a skilled heritage architect because the bones of the building have been revealed and beautifully preserved...

This stay was VERY UNPLEASANT. The staff did not understand english. We were promised wifi in the room but there were no wifi at all. The reception closed early and we got locked out for over one hour in the evening, apparently the staff forgot to give us the code in to the hotel. In the morning when we were...
