Although the room was small and basic, it was very clean and we were there for the food and it did not disappoint. The food was all cooked to order, the mushroom starter was not your usual frozen ones, the Thai mussels were gorgeous. The fish was really crispy, the steak was tender and served with huge onion rings and...

Lovely place with great and filling food, not nearest the log fire but the place was buzzing so we got a different table but just as good. I expected a bigger bill at the end, so like the surprisingly good food this was also welcome, service also tip top.

we eventually managed to visit the Lion & Unicorn and it was AWESOME. It was a chilly winters night and we had a beautiful 3 course meal next to a log fire. Food and service top class and surprisingly good prices considering the quality of the dishes. A must visit.

A friend and I stayed here overnight for a short break away. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were shown to a nice room which was clean, with nice bed linen and spotless bathroom facilities. Having booked a table for dinner we were surprised how busy the place was in the evening, being situated in a small, remote...

Stayed overnight so had dinner and breakfast. This is a lovely old Inn in a quaint village a wee bit off the beaten track but easily accessible. Both staff and patrons are very friendly and sociable especially Fiona the owner who has a great gift for keeping the customers happy. I arrived in the afternoon and had a couple of...

Had a meal here before however this was our first overnight stay. Built in the 1600's the building is full of period features low ceilings, open fire places, exposed brick work and wooden beams. Our room maintained the period features throughout which I love. All tea, coffee, water, chocolates and toiletries supplied complimentary. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable and spotlessly...
