Beacon B&B certainly lived up to the glowing reviews! Shirley & Roger were extremely gracious hosts, making us feel part of the family from the moment we arrived. We were made to feel welcome to use all amenities, and felt relaxed and right at home. We stayed two glorious nights, enjoying the dramatic sunsets while sipping wine on the front...

Roger and Shirley are too good for this world!!! Our daughter of 8 (she doesn't speak english) had a great time during our 2 nights stay. Roger is fantastic with children and Shirley has lots of tips for things to do. They have patience, humor and respect for guests. Breakfast is really good, fresh fruit and everything homemade! The beds...

Staying two weekends in a row, we found Roger and Shirley to be eager to accommodate our every need, refining our requests to perfection. We saw eagles in the treetops from the spectacular bay windows overlooking the Strait of Georgia. The gourmet breakfasts had no unhealthy ingredients such as high-fructose corn syrup. Next time my wife will make time for...

A great start to our stay in Powell River. The rooms were nice and the bed comfortable . But what made the Beacon Bed and Breakfast wonderful was how much the owners care. Roger and Shirley were very attentive to everything and anything we may have needed. Shirley was like a caring mother and on our last day was scrubbing...

Thank you very much for all your kind words. I just wanted to let everyone know that Serenity Ensuite now has a new 32 inch LCD TV. both rooms now have their own TV. We certainly try to meet the needs and comforts of our guests.

From the moment you step in the door you know how very special this B&B is. The hosts are welcoming and gracious. The home overlooks the strait and you can see eagles from the front window. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the beds extremely comfortable and everything is spotless. You get lots of towels, shampoo and all the things you...

Beacon B&B is right on the edge of town in a very convenient location. The fun and quirky couple running the B&B have been doing it for years, and they've perfected the art. They had good recommendations of activities in the area and had brochures and maps on-hand. The rooms themselves were a little older - more like you were...

One of the best equipped B&B suites we've ever come across. Great food and wonderful hosts. We have no hesitation in recommending the Beacon to others.

Awesome. I forgot to review this in August - sorry. Excellent advice on ferries and fares, great hospitality, the breakfast was on par with a 12-star hotel. Unbelievable. Hugs and kisses when we left, along with fresh, homemade muffins. We'll be back for sure. Rooms had everything and more. Great knowledge of local area and history. Fantastic hosts.

It was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast on a business trip. Both Roger and Shirley made me feel at home for a week. Roger with his funny stories, and Shirley with her amazing culinary skills. Overall, I had an amazing time at Beacon B&B, and would definitely visit again.

We travelled to Powell River in hopes of relocating there in the future. Our Hosts at the Beacon B&B were easy to find, warm, friendly, and eager to answer all our "town" questions. Great restaurant suggestions were given as well as a little town history. We loved the fantastic breakfasts every morning, there was always a surprise and a laugh...

“The Sunrise room has a little table in it, queen size bed and a nice large closet. It's more than room enough for two. And there are blinds and a sliding door that seperate you from the other room/living area, so you don't have to worry about privacy going from the room to your own bathroom.”
