From the moment we were welcomed by Nicky we felt totally relaxed in the Little Vicarage - a relatively newly built self catering 2 bed cottage attached to the main house. Total peace and tranquility, in a excellent kept property. Large gardens. Loads of information about the area and the various things to do, plus a very useful book of... More

We've just returned from two wonderful days at The Old Vicarage in Wetton. The place is spotless, and kitted out with quality bedding, furniture and bathroom fittings. We had the king double/twin at the front of the house with a lovely ensuite bathroom including a really good electric shower. The beds were so good that we both slept in -... More

The bnb was really rice. It was very homely and felt very cosy. The room was nice and we had our own bathroom. Tea and cake on arrival was a nice touch and there was some great things to do nearby. Nicola was a great host

Stayed at the old vicarage for a long weekend whilst meeting a childhood friend and celebrating 50 years of friendship. The location was chosen as a roughly half way point between Scotland and Devon, not been to this part of the Peak district before and it is well worth a visit, truly beautiful countryside with lots to choose from in... We stayed three nights at the Old Vicarage which is beautifully situated in Wetton (not a large village) but with the feel of being out in the country. We were made most welcome by Nicky. We managed a walk to Alstonefield in the rain - enjoyable. Great breakfasts and helpful recommendations / reservations for dinner in local establishments.

We were staying for a wedding and Nicky did her best to be accommodating for our early arrival and let us into the room. Really friendly, the room was comfortable and really nice, and has stunning surroundings. Breakfast was lovely (though we were battling horrendous hangovers). Be prepared to make conversation over brekky though as there's only one table! Despite... More

This beautiful Country House is set in over an acre of secluded gardens in the heart of the peak District National Park. With literally dozens of walks and cycle rides straight from the door and a traditional pub only 2 minutes walk, it is a great base to explore this picturesque area. Wake up to the aroma of Nicky's freshly baked breads served with organic home made jams and a tasty freshly grilled breakfast. We are also ideally located for exploring the pretty marker towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell and Buxton and the many National Trust properties in the area as well as Chatsworth House and Alton Towers.
