We have stayed at Mayfield Hall many times if the last few years both on private trips and I have used it also when on business. We have also held family events here. It is true to say that we arrange our trips around getting accommodation at the Hall. The accommodation is wonderful and the setting of the Hall is... More

Totally agree with all the great reviews so far. A very comfortable bed, with perfect pillows and such a lovely, enveloping duvet. Nice blackout curtains ensuring a perfect nights sleep, in such a peaceful location. We can highly recommend the Rose and Crown pub (worth booking as even though it's in a quiet location a few minutes walk from Mayfield... More

On my boyfriends birthday we came to mayfield hall full of hope given the positive reviews, only to discover a room which hadn't been cleaned since the dark ages. 35 spiders in thick cob webs, 40 plus wood lice dead by the wardrobe, a stain under the sheets which was straight out of the film Carrie. Toe nail cuttings from... More

We had a superb short stay for two nights whilst visiting the Peak District. We experienced wonderful hospitality & delicious breakfast made exactly to order. The homemade jams & homemade bread at breakfast were wonderful. We stayed in the room with the roll top bath which had beautiful views of the garden. Great recommendations for local pubs for dinner.

Lovely stay at Mayfield Hall. Echo all previous excellent reviews. Quiet, comfortable, great breakfasts, hospitable welcome etc. Peaceful surroundings and absence of anything electronic bleeping made it feel straight out of a Jane Austen novel. Good evening food nearby at the Rose & Crown though no real ale which was disappointing. Have suggested a compulsory takeover to Michael !

This is a little gem and all your previous reviewers were spot on. We took our children and grand children and they would rather have stayed at the hotel than go the the theme park! The place is so serene and coupled with excellent hospitality, so relaxing and full of charm. I can really recommend a visit. We will certainly... More

What a gorgeous hotel! Michael the host is a true gent and his bread is to die for!! The hotel itself is full of character and history and the decor really reflects this. Gutted that this was such a quick visit as the surrounding gardens look amazing as do the near by villages! Will definitely be back!

Lovely place to spend our wedding night, after a fantastic day with our family and friends. Great location and very warm welcome. Good breakfast, lovely room overlooking the front of the Hall, towards the church we were married in earlier. Highly recommended.

We stayed here recently and was overwhelmed by the character of the beautiful hall and its surrounding gardens/grounds. We were met by Michael who couldn't do enough for us and was just a great character. The room was lovely with a comfortable bed and was clean and had a lovely ensuite with a big bath tub to relax in.
