Well, maybe it was the season, because we've never seen so many flies. This is not the fault of the hotel, which is old, in desperate need of refurbishment by the owners, and is lovingly maintained by Kamal and Fatima - the best managing couple/guide/cook in all of Morroco. No, the fault was in the rural setting - nice view...

We are very sorry that you had such an uncomfortable experience at Kasbah Omar. When we decided to build Kasbah Omar in the middle of a Berber Village (finished initial construction in 2008 with one of Morocco's premiere architects - built in the ancient kasbah style), we had to weigh many options.... good and bad. We felt that the experience...

We stayed here for a night before heading to Marrakech, and was the best place we stayed during our Morocco trip. The kasbah was beautiful, and had excellent views of the below valley, and even the city lights of Marrakech. Our room was great, with great lighting, a huge bed, amazing bathroom, and our own personal balcony. Bathroom facilities were...

My husband and I spent a wonderful couple of days at Kasbah OMAR with Kamal and Fatima. Their hospitality and concern for our comfort made our visit a delight. We took their cooking classes and feasted on the proceeds. We hiked the villages with Kamal and got such a great feel for the local people and their lives- and why...

We stayed at this hotel two nights and enjoyed every minute of our experience. Our room was comfortable and had a small balcony where we could sit and view the gorgeous Ourika Valley. At night, we could see the lights of Marrakesh from our balcony and also from the roof-top terrace where meals were served. The tagines and other food...

Pros. Friendly staff Cons. Space heater in room could not cope with the cold. Heating was not working in the eating area, had to wear coats. Hallways were dimly lit and had to navigate with a flashlight.

We are very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay at Kasbah Omar. Experiencing the traditional Berber lifestyle is not for everyone. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip to Morocco.

My Wife and I stayed here for two nights in early February. The staff was very friendly, helpful and a joy to be around. The room was very large and very comfortable. There is WIFI in one of the public areas which was good. The public areas near top offer amazing views toward Marrakesh and the lights at night are...

Fantastic escape from the Marrakech madness. I highly recommend this retreat into the mountains to see an authentic side to this wonderful country. Mohamed and Kamal greeted us warmly and were truly superb hosts. From a trip to the local Berber museum to a meander around the weekly market to a Berber cooking course Kasbah Omar never ceased to impress....

Kasbah Omar is a hidden gem in the Ourika Valley and it's all mainly due to the management and staff.... Karim, Kamal, and the entire staff are incredible. Nestled into a Berber Village in the Ourika Valley was Kasbah Omar. We stayed for 3 nights on a culinary tour with Access Trips.
