Stayed here last year, really nice local surroundings with a lovely view first thing in morning. As title says was a bit further away from Hadrians wall than I'd of liked as a base for our walking activites, but quite central none the less. Very good breakfast with all guests sat around one large dining table, though this could be...

A frequent visitor to Northumberland,I booked 2 nights for my Father and I. At time of booking,I advised owner that I had poor mobility, but that as I live alone, in a four bedroom detached property,I was unlikely to find any problems with the staircase. Upon arrival,Avril asked if I was going to be able to manage the stairs. A single...

Easily found off the main road, albeit via some tight and twisty back roads, with a good sized driveway providing sufficient parking. On arrival, the property was unattended, but found an envelope on the door with our name on it containing a welcome message and full instructions. The room was a reasonable size, but the en-suite was quite cramped. The...

Our 2-day stay was in the room called “Otterburn”. We met 2 other couples at breakfast at the common table and enjoyed talking with them. Breakfast was good. The room was of average size, quite adequate. The bathroom was small, but efficiently organized. We informed our host that the toilet tank needed an adjustment to provide an adequate amount of...

Couldn't have wished for more. Clean, comfortable, PEACEFUL and I was well and generously looked after. Superb breakfasts and excellent value for money. A car is necessary for longer excursions but if you're a rambler type, it won't be a problem. Roman Army and Vindolanda museums well worth a look. And Hadrian's Wall not far either. Don't dawdle, book it.

A warm welcome on a chilly afternoon and the room soon warmed up too! Thankfully there was a good quilt on the bed as this was a very cold night. Nice wee touches - choccy biscuit, free wifi, shampoo and shower soap(no longer provided at the Travelodge!) A good quality tv kept me entertained (I'm so fed up with rubbish...

We stayed for a M&S weekend break and arrived in the evening. There appeared to be nobody around at first but then Avril appeared and explained that she had been doing a couple of jobs with the farm animals. We were shown to our room, which was spacious and comfortable and it soon warmed up. Avril told us where the...

We had a warm welcome from Avril who showed us to our room which was spacious and clean with a large modern bathroom. The lounge was great for relaxing in and there was some great books to read whilst looking out at the lovely views. Breakfast was cooked to order and you could have as much as you wanted, all...
