We rented two units as we had our grand daughter with us. Each unit was clean and ours was newly refurbished - new laminate floors and clean new bathroom The kitchen had enough crockery and utensils to cook simple meals, there was a small grill available to use as well as a deep electric fry pan. Screens would have been...

Gracie's Place is a great place to stay. The rooms are eclectic and quaint. We had one of the smaller rooms with the kitchenette. It has two single beds, one of which can be tucked away if travelling solo. The room was spotless and well equipped. We easily made our breakfast and could have made any meal as needed. Gracie...

We stayed at Gracie's one night and rented one of her Van/RVs for a week. The van was basic but served our needs. We had everything we needed to camp. Gracie was very helpful. The van rental was a great option compared to renting a car.

We were extremely disappointed with our recent stay. We were given units 1 & 2. The bed in #2 was barely accessible. It did not have a ladder where required making it extremely difficult if not dangerous to get into or out of. It was impossible to sit up in the bed. The pillows were little more than pillow cases-...

First of all, Gracie is a wonderful woman! She let us into her home and got us a room right there on the spot, even though we didn't call or anything beforehand. We had been camping for about a week in the rain and all we really wanted was an oven to cook a frozen pizza in it. But there...

We arrived in Queen Charlotte City, unknowingly, on Court Day. Most of the hotels were full but one nice woman called Gracie's for us. Gracie met us personally at the door with a huge smile and a warm greeting. She had one room left and before we said more than hello, she offered to show us the room to be...

We are concluding our last day of week at Gracie's, in the upstairs 2 bedroom apartment. We have really enjoyed our stay, and are thankful we read the reviews here before we booked. I couldn't imagine staying in one of the obviously very dark and small rooms downstairs. Our suite (#5) overlooks the harbour, very charming if a bit over-cluttered,...

Our room was extremely small and there was hardly any room for our luggage. The lampshade on the lamp was disgustingly dirty and greasy as were the reverse side of the louvered doors on the bathroom (shown when someone went in and closed them). The carpets were extremely dirty. The linens, although well-worn, were clean and replaced daily. The fridge...

Staying at Gracie's made us feel like we were well taken care of. The rooms were clean, cheerful and comfortable and the view is amazing. Gracie was incredibly nice to us and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.

Most people who come to Haida Gwaii get it. There are no 5 star hotels here. Most visitors want it that way - as do most of the residents. This is a super remote archipelago that's one of the most undeveloped, pristine places on Earth. To simply be here is a privilege. I'm not sure you can judge or rate...
