We stayed in a two bedroom cottage while snowmobiling in Cape Breton. There is a trail right from the cottage that connects to the main trail system in the are, with fuel available via the trail only 2 miles away. The cottage was spotless when we arrived! The cottage also was very cozy. If you plan to snowmobile in the...

My Husband and I just stayed here this weekend (Easter 2016) to go snowmobiling. Cottages were spotless and well equipped with everything you would need. Owners were great and very friendly. Thanks for letting us keep the room till we got back from sledding it sure was nice having a hot shower before heading home. We'll be back for sure.

Salmon fishing on the Margaree - this is the perfect place to stay. Edsel and Carol are wonderful hosts - kind, warm and very friendly. Peggy keeps the cottage clean and provides daily linens. The cottages are very well equipped and quite cosy. Contrary to another review here, there is WiFi in the cottages, but sometimes it is intermittent when...

Four of us stayed at the River Trail Cottages when we were on our way to Cheticamp, and we nearly changed our plans so that we could stay longer in the beautiful Margaree Valley. The cottages at River Trail are modern, clean, and well-stocked, and we found the whole Loyalist history of that area very interesting. After the bustle of...

These cottages are superb for families, people with dogs, travellers through the Highlands, or fishermen. Carol, Peggy and Edsel are always willing to give advice and assistance without being intrusive. Each cottage is well appointed with anything you would want to be self-sufficient. And perhaps the best thing if all is that there is no cell or wi-fi coverage...that makes...

July 2014- Edsel Hart put our group of 8 cyclists for 2 nights. He helped arrange fishing guides and activities, gave us a tour of the naturally beautiful property, and helped us appreciate the history of the Margaree valley. His cabins are solid, well-maintained, clean and well-stocked. We couldn't be more pleased that we stayed here, and are starting to...

This is another marvelous accommodation in the Margaree Valley. The cabins are modern and comfortable, and come fully equipped with a kitchen, dining area, living room, and individual bedroom(s), depending on the size of the cabin. They are beautifully situated, and the owners, Carol and Edsel Hart, make you feel very much at home. The cabins are near working farms,...
