Absolutely the best place to stay in Picton! The rooms are exceptional: five star comfort, pristinely clean, tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. Wishing the vast collection of antiques was for sale! The food is six star, very generous portions tastefully presented. The staff are phenomenal! I keep coming back and never want to leave. Kudos to the owners and the... More

rooms are not up to the price they charge in the main house and house next door. rooms are tired looking. saw lots of spider webs in the dinning room. told one of the waiters there was no paper in the lady's room. two hours later there still wasn't. try the Merrill house next time.

We're very sorry to hear you didn't feel we provided you with the value you expected during your stay with us. Your complaint about the paper in the lady's room should have been dealt with immediately, and we're disappointed that it seems it went unheeded. The rooms in the Main House and the House Next Door strive to be true... More

We had a package with two nights accommodation, dining certificate in Amelia's Garden and two free drinks in the other restaurant on site. Our room was lovely-- gorgeous bathroom with separate shower and oversized bathtub, corner gas fireplace and balcony with Adirondack chairs. The room was decorated nicely and very quiet and peaceful (in the Quaker building). Also included in... More

Recently stayed at the Waring House for one night and the overall experience was great. We stayed in the Heritage Lodge, which was very nice and we were both very happy with it. Our room had a king bed, electric fireplace, large bathroom with a large, two-person tub, shower and we even went for the hot tub room (2-person hot... More

The service at both the hotel and the restaurant/pub was second to none! So welcoming and eager to make sure our experience was wonderful. Great food and entertainment! We have stayed at the Waring House twice before - once in the main building & once in "the house next door". On both occasions we also enjoyed meals in both Amelia's Garden and the Barley Room Pub. On this visit, we stayed in a suite in the newer Quaker unit - a spacious, modern accommodation. Our anniversary dinner in... More

What a perfect location, scenic, serene and straightforward to get to. A great location between Toronto and Montreal and we held our Annual General Meeting for a food association at this location. I was impressed with not only the stellar organizational skills but their ability to accommodate a group just over 30 people and make last minute requests happen. We... More

Waring House is actually a venue of five buildings -- the old stone main house with a few antique-furnished rooms, a pub/restaurant, a banquet building and two newer buildings with spacious modern rooms. And I do mean spacious! We stayed in the "Quaker House", one of the two newer units (Heritage House is the other). The room included a large... More
